W. Bruce Cameron, is the New York Times bestselling author of A Dog’s Purpose, A Dog’s Journey, The Dogs of Christmas, and Ellie’s Story: A Dog’s Purpose Novel, is his first book he wrote for children. The book that I had got the pleasure to read is Bailey’s Story. When Bailey meets eight-year old Ethan, he quickly figures out his purpose is to play with the boy, and to explore the farm during the summer vacation, with the family, and him, and to tidy the boy’s dishes by licking them clean, but only when Mom isn’t watching. Bailey soon learns that life isn’t always so easy, and great, and that sometimes bad things happen and that there can be no greater purpose than to protect Ethan. “Then there was a stupendous crash. “ My weight, and the force of my jump pushed his go-kart ahead faster than ever. We whizzed past Billy, who waved his flag.” This quote represents why the portion of the book became predictable. A theme of the book is to always just have fun doing the most of everything, you possibly can in life. Bailey and Ethan had so much fun, doing the most simplest stuff in life like, just playing out in the woods, swimming in the lake, and the boy making a toy he made by him self for Bailey to play with in the field. In the sequel of this book the following should happen: The boy, and his “girlfriend” Hannah, should grow up together, and get married, and buy another dog so Bailey can have puppies, and they should also live on Ethan’s Grandparents’ farm together. There should definitely be a Bailey's Story 2, because I would read it, and I would want to hear the boy, and his, “girlfriend” get married, or they have a giant plot twist and don't get married, that's why they should make a sequel. I would also like to see them get get another dog, and for Bailey to have puppies, also my last thing that I would like to see in the sequel of this book is for Ethan and Hannah to live on Ethan’s grandparents’ farm together, and live their lives out on the farm. Reading Bailey’s Story was a pleasure, and I hope to see a sequel to this book
