Women have never been able to had the same equal rights as men. Till this day in many places women still suffer due to not having the same rights as men. From then to now women are still fighting for their rights. For example, like have more freedom, More rights, to be able to vote like men do, etc.. As of today women still suffer for equal rights. What is Feminism in today's world? Why don't women have the same rights as men? Why isn't this fair, Why should it end? Feminism isn't fair because women should be able to get the same opportunities as men. Women have the ability to be as hardworking as men are. They have the same skills men do. Women are not being treated fairly and it needs to end not just here but everywhere!
Feminism is the concept that women should be equal to men on social, economic, and political grounds. Today this practice is widely spread throughout the world. This idea would have seemed preposterous in Bible times. Women were certainly considered underclass, whereas men were superior in all cases. This belief of unequal significance between men and women was challenged by Jesus during his ministry in the Gospel of John. Jesus’ stand to incorporate women had specific purpose. Through the ministry, proclamation that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and witness to His resurrection, the women of the Gospel of John demonstrate Jesus’ intention for men and women to occupy equally important ministry roles.
According to Eastern Kentucky University on women and gender studies, “feminism is the issue of equality based on gender, gender expression, gender identity, sex, and sexuality as understood through social theories and political activism”. Feminism
Feminism movements fights for the rights of women for example the right to vote, to be able to do the work that men do, to earn equal pay as men, to receive the same education, to have equal rights in a marriage, etc. Feminists are also seen as a “right” that women have that will help them to stay safe from rape, sexual harassment, and domestic violence, etc.
Feminism is a range of ideas and approaches that seek to create sexual and gender equality for women. It focuses to achieve equal rights for females in different parts of society. Though these feminist movements were successful over the years, there’s a lot left to accomplish before we can say equality between men and women has been reached. All over, women are still at a disadvantage despite their successful liberation campaigns.
Equal rights for everyone seems like a fantasy, but it isn’t. This is exactly what feminism stands for. By definition feminism is, “the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.” A women’s rights movement that can be beneficial for everyone. Feminism is equality for everyone and getting this done without any harm. There are feminist protests and speeches that share what feminism is to each individual. Feminism stands for equality and allows everyone to live in an equal environment and and allows everyone to live as they please.
Women’s Rights has been an issue for a long time, as the Women’s Rights movement first began on July 13th,1848. What is it that makes people truly care about women’s rights? Or any cause for that matter? This is a question that has been frequently asked, and a question that this paper will answer. The Women’s Rights Movement began on a summer day by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and four of her female friends. Stanton made her anger and discontent about the situation known to all the women present, and when Stanton was 52 she gave a powerful speech at the Woman's Suffrage Convention in Washington D.C. Which started in a very powerful way, “ "I urge a sixteenth amendment, because 'manhood suffrage,' or a man's government, is civil, religious, and social disorganization.”
Feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men. In modern, dumbed-down words, Feminism is women’s fight for equality. Feminist movements have been going on since the nineteenth century, beginning with the
Women are constantly fighting for equality in the world, whether it is job equality, pay equality, respect, anything. Fighting for equality is something many have done, but women seem to have been fighting the longest. The name for these actions is feminism. Although most believe feminism to be just one belief, there are more than one version. The top two versions of feminism are difference and equality, which are two both, in a way, contradicting beliefs, even though they originate from feminism. Unfortunately, outsiders tend to think feminists are more for difference feminism, which injures the reputation of feminism itself. Polli’s beliefs of equality feminism having higher morals than that of difference feminism shine through her article
Through the history of America there have been 43 male presidents and no female has ever been the president. In the upcoming elections women are trying to change the way others view the presidential race. Hillary Clinton still running for the democratic votes has a fair chance to become the first female president, but it should not be aloud. Women can and should not be able to be president nor should they be able to campaign because they have relied on men for hundreds of years, they will cause a great deal of inequality, and are simply incapable of running the country.
Feminism, “the [theory of the] political, economic, and social equality of the sexes.” Contrary to popular beliefs, it does not advocate for a matriarchy nor the total annihilation of males, but rather equal rights for both sexes. Traditional American gender roles have been socialized in our society since birth, and feminism works to abolish these demarcations by challenging what we think about gender. Should boys be allowed to wear pink and play with dolls? Should girls be allowed to wear blue and play with dirt bikes? Must women be feminine, and males be masculine? Feminism questions the acceptance of these ideologies and works to nullify them in our nation.
Lately, there has been a with the topic of feminism when it comes to how women are treated in society compared to how men are treated. Feminism is the advocacy of women’s rights socially, politically, and economically. In the United States, there is spectrum of how much people believe in feminism. I believe in equal rights for all and I think that everyone should understand what a feminist really is, but I do not believe that feminism is necessary in order for women to be treated equally.

According to Merriam-Webster, feminism can be defined as the theory of political, economic, and social equality of the sexes. By that logic, the feminist movement should be based on the equality of the sexes and not raising one above the other in the sociological sense. That should be a movement everyone, regardless of sex, should be able to agree with and of which to be a part. However, not all are agreeable to labeling themselves as a feminist. The feminist movement has a divided portrayal in the media, with celebrities both supporting and disapproving of the ideas stemming from the people in the movement. This dichotomy of views can be seen on the UCSB college campus as well, but not to such an extreme extent. In some ways, women feel the
As cited in An Introduction to Sociology in Ireland, Webb and Tossell (1999, p47) defined gender as ‘the word used to describe social and personality differences between women and men’. Whereas, ‘a person’s sex is determined by the physical characteristics’ (Korgan and White, 2014, p151)The social construction of our gender begins at birth and within our family, the first place we learn about our gender and our first ‘society’ as such. From this early stage and throughout life we are thought social norms, roles and behavior’s for our gender for example my aunties telling me things such as, little girls wear dresses on Sundays or girls don’t climb trees. This type of social discourse, though quite subtle, can have a lasting effect on children
