Alexander the great was considered the first super-hero of Western Civilization because he was able to conquer so much land even though he only lived to be 32 years old. He was able to conquer Egypt and the Persian Empire. Although there armies were much larger than theirs he was a brilligent military leader who was able to maneuver this problem. For example when he fought the Persians he was in a narrow field so it didn’t matter on numbers but much more on skill. He learned this when his father gave him the Calvary and took him on military missions from a young age. It was also his father’s wish that the Macedonian Empire would rule the Persian Empire. Which after he was killed may have been the fuel that started why alexander wanted to conquer
