The American Revolution was not avoidable because of British policies that were unfair to colonists. An example is the Proclamation of 1763 which prohibited colonists from moving west of the Appalachian Mountains. This policy limited opportunity for colonists. Another issue that angered colonists was the increase of taxation without representation.The colonists reaction to these policies were protests, boycotts, and harassing tax collectors. The french and indian war lead to tension because then the British government had to pay for weapons and such to win the fight resulting in them falling into a lot of debt. then, to pay it off with The Acts like the Stamp Act and Sugar Act , which the American colonists hated.
