Anne Frank was a Jewish girl that lived during the Holocaust. She wrote a diary that was found after the Holocaust ended. One of her most famous quotes was, "Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart." This quote truly demonstrated her belief that mankind shows kindness and compassion toward one another. In her various quotes, we can find many reasons for her belief that man is overall good to one another. I think her religious beliefs helped her through her struggles and was an enormous reason why she thought that people were truly good at heart. Two other reasons are the fact that the Americans and the British came to rescue the Jews from the Germans and that the employees of her father (Otto Frank) tried to keep them hidden from the Nazis, while providing her family with news and food to keep …show more content…

This thought is conveyed in Anne's writing, "How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." This gave the Franks' and their companions new hope. At last, there was someone on the way to end the agony from being confined to the same isolated rooms for a long period of time. This outpouring of support from various countries throughout the world, proves Anne's belief that people are really good at heart.

Another Anne Frank quote is, "Human greatness does not lie in wealth or power but in character and goodness. People are just people, and all people have faults and shortcomings, but all of us are born with a basis goodness." I feel this quote is displayed by Otto Frank's employees, who protected the family for two years. The employees showed kindness and support to the Frank family by providing them news, food and company during these challenging times.
