Thought of as one of the earliest civilizations to have domesticated cats, Egyptians are notorious for their love of the feline. Attributing them to the status of gods and goddess and worshipping them like so. The cat goddess Bast being one of the worshipped. The deity of which represented fertility, protection and motherhood.
