1. PRACTICAL AIM The aim of this practical is to work with the SiemensLOGO!Soft Comfort program to gain knowledge and practical experience in the field of PLC’s. This practical is aimed to widen out understanding of PLC’s and the programming behind it to make a simple device work according to spesifications. The SiemensLOGO!Soft Comfort package will be used to design a solar powered ultra-capacitor streetlight, and then programming it to work according spesifications. 2. The output unit carries out the commands that the CPU performed via the program stored in the PLC’s memory. The input and output units each have slots that holds the wires from the different input and output devices. These arrays of slots are called a rack. The rack creates a physical connection from the input and output devices to the CPU. Examples of input devices include switches, push buttons and measurement devices. Output devices include lights, horns, valves, motors etc. There are two types of input and output devices: Discrete Analog Discrete input and output devices are very simple devices. There is also a spinning or solid state hard drive that uses DVD like disks that stores information like your video games, pictures, or other things. A CPU is the thing that your computer uses to do all the processing work, like our brain but not like it. CPU stands central-processing-unit.
Dictatorship is when a certain person or a small group control everybody in the country. (Encyclopedia Britannica) Dictatorship makes it so the leader controls what the people do. This also includes Communist Dictatorships like the Soviet Union. Our colony is strongly against dictatorship because there is always someone that has too much power when everybody else has no freedom to question it whatsoever. It 's the 1940s and it’s all about zoot suiter, the music, the style, and the aesthetic. Zoot suiter is a men 's suit that is high-waisted, wide legged, with tight-cuffed, and a long coat with wide padded shoulders. That style of clothing was popular around that time and my brother was one of them who wore it too.
Insecurity is the feeling of anxiousness and feeling self-conscious about one’s physical characteristics. In Gary Soto’s short story “The Jacket,” the main character says, “ I heard the buzz-buzz of gossip and even laughter that I knew was meant for me. And so I went, in my guacamole-colored jacket.” The boy with the ugly jacket feels insecure about his outward appearance because of the cruel laughter and judgement others are revealing and also tries to hide himself from the unwanted attention. Soto uses literary elements to express the hatred the boy felt towards the jacket, symbols to show that he was embarrassed of his culture and he wishes he had clothing like his other peers, and conflict to impact the way others viewed him to support the overarching theme: Focusing on the small things can distract one from the important things that matter.
