1. PRACTICAL AIM The aim of this practical is to work with the SiemensLOGO!Soft Comfort program to gain knowledge and practical experience in the field of PLC’s. This practical is aimed to widen out understanding of PLC’s and the programming behind it to make a simple device work according to spesifications. The output unit carries out the commands that the CPU performed via the program stored in the PLC’s memory. The input and output units each have slots that holds the wires from the different input and output devices. These arrays of slots are called a rack. The rack creates a physical connection from the input and output devices to the CPU. Examples of input devices include switches, push buttons and measurement devices.
