Prior to the voyage of Christopher Columbus in 1492, there were multiple empires growing to astonishing amounts of power on different sides of the earth. In the undiscovered Western Hemisphere, the great empire of the Aztecs were growing to considerable size and power; single handily controlling regional trade. In the highly active Eastern Hampshire, the powerful empire of Songhai was quickly becoming one of the strongest and wealthiest West African empires in history. The success of these empires came from a strong combination of historic prospectives, but those which helped define their legacies were a combination of: physical, capital, state action and ideas. Through analyzing these perspectives, there is a considerable finding that there are many similarities and differences between each empire that account for many years of regional power.
Conquest of The Aztecs The Spanish Conquistadors were able to conquer the Aztecs because they had superior weapons, strategies, and alliances. If the Aztecs were powerful Indians, why did they not attack instead of giving the conquistadors gifts? What made them not attack? How did they permit the conquistadors conquer them?
Many people remember the Aztecs for their incredible farming skills, architecture, and fierce fighting skills, but they didn't do just that. The Aztecs believed in human sacrifice to keep their gods happy. They would sacrifice their people to keep the universe in balance. Human sacrifice was important to the Aztec culture and civilization in many ways.
As some may conclude the Aztecs performed human sacrifice out of pure evil, the real reason behind the gruesome act revolved around the Aztec’s gods. The ritual of human sacrifice was ultimately to receive the god’s gifts, which gave them life. In document J the previous opinion is discussed saying, “…humans must sacrifice that which was most important to them – life – to receive the sun, the rain, and other blessings of the gods that made life possible”(Document J). If Aztecs looked at human sacrifice in this way it can be argued that they participated in this act for the sake of keeping the gods happy, who were the providers of everyday fundamentals such as the sun and rain. Ultimately, the Aztecs were determined to give the gift of life to the god’s.
The Aztec and Incan empires were just two of the many government figures that cultivated an image of authority and power (held by the people).creating the expectations of what a governing administration should appeal as to representing themselves projecting an authoritative image to the community and others still use this technique for foundation to the modern world as well as religion and economics which come hand in hand with government and society. Retrospectively in addition to the many ties connected to leadership and the formation of laws and regulations innovative architectural ideas and monuments progressed throughout the history of both The Aztecs and Inca. Heavily suppressed by world wars and genocides within high school history books, neither empire sought a chance for even a chapter or lesson opening a gap of general knowledge known for the responsibilities these cultures have affected. Both empires designed a way of living they believed would protect and achieve more greatness within themselves. Pioneering one of the many first trial and error solutions that is commonly used throughout careers and everyday lives, of the possibilities of what could happen if they did not test things out to see the greatness and failures.

The Aztec people dominated the 14th through 16th century Mesoamerica. They are one of the most noted cultures recognized in history books today and they deserve as much recognition for their accomplishments and errors as much as any other civilization because their works were much the same. Their religious practices were similar to that of the ancient civilizations throughout the entire world. The magnificent capital, Tenochtitlan, displays accomplishments other cities had achieved thousands of years before the Aztecs marched through what is now Mexico. Even the fall of their empire was like that of the far away Celtic civilization and countless others.
In the 1500’s The Inca civilization ended in 1532 and their civilization started around 1438. The Aztec empire however, started in 1427 and ended in 1521. they both built amazing empires that are still recognized today. They believed in gods, they invented clever inventions, and created a lifestyle for the whole empire.
The Aztec lifestyle had changed drastically due to the significant rise in aztec slavery, which affected the social status, and changed their religion for the worse. The Aztec population was a very vast, well educated group of people who weren't custom to change. The large group was always very hostile when it came to battle, and would usually succeed and come out victorious because of the demand for blood shed for their gods. The Aztec people, a proud group, had been unwillingly crushed by the spanish warriors. Loosing their ways of life such as their right to religion, freedom and social status.

The Inca and the Aztec once ruled the area where both empires have many advantages on physical features which lead to the development of the empires. For the better advantage the Inca Empire would excel at the development of their empire better than the Aztec Empire. Living on the Andes Mountains the Inca Empire created Adobe or Stone brick homes from their ingenuity to over come the rainy like weather. With their ingenuity and craftsmanship this civilization created elevated aqueducts that prevents floods hitting their home in which it did work as some still stand.
The priest was in charge because he was said to talk to the gods and tell the people how to worship them. These are the beliefs the Aztec and I will tell you you them. The Aztecs believed all the gods came together to make the earth. They say it took five tries for them to make it.

Another difference is that the Europeans forced the Incas and Aztecs to change their religion and become Catholic. They sent a lot of Franciscans to convert Indians to their new religion. On the other hand, The Mississippi Valley Tribes were not forced to change their beliefs.
The Aztec Empire like Ottomans and the Mughals existed in the same time period 1428-152 and share some common points despite the vast difference in culture. Like the Ottomans and the Mughals the Aztecs were also a strong force compared to its neighbors terrifying outside powers who lived nearby. All three Empires relayed on war to expand its borders and influence. The Aztecs and the Ottomans also both had system that allowed for talented commoners to move up the ranks. All three empires also to some extent relied on trade to further itself or get basic goods.
The Aztecs religious beliefs The Aztecs of Mexico City had very unique beliefs. They worshiped in the temple which is in the middle of the exhibit. The Aztec temples were almost always offering mounds, the priest of the Aztec religion would use these temples to worship and pray. They also used it for offerings to the Aztec Gods. The way the Aztec’s way of worshiping was praying and sacrificing.
In every civilization that has graced our planet at some point, each has wondered about how the world, and its people were created. Depending on the location of the civilization, and the influences from other civilizations, each early civilization has created some form of tale to explain how the world and it people were created. For this essay, I would like to review, and compare the Aztec’s creation story, and the Japan’s creation story.
