Yes, the sobering realities of life can be harsh but it can also shape and mold us into the people that we’re destined to be. The people, culture, and experiences of someone’s childhood are the greatest determining factor for what kind of person they will become. So how does the nature and nurture of one’s upbringing impact the decisions that they make, and their life in general? As written in “The Great Gatsby”, the first example of similarity is that the book has the same theme to the “Roaring 20’s”. Everything in life has similarities and differences as long as you're looking for them, but some have more than others. Comparing similarities and difference between two things in life is making a compare and contrast (book) . When comparing and contrasting two pieces of literature you have to observe not only the themes of them but also the plot.
