Marawi City is the largest city of the province of Lanao del Sur in Mindanao. They are also called the “Summer Capital of the South” because it has higher elevation and cooler climate. They are also rich in resources and infrastructures. They are also rich in agriculture because Marawi City is one of the supplier of rice here in Philippines. They are also known for their trading and exporting product like fruits. Their economy is high like the other cities in our country. Marawi City is a beautiful place. I feel sad after watching the video on the page because seeing a people having a difficulty in terms of what food to eat, where to go and where they can stay longer for them just to survive in their everyday life during this war. This war broke my heart. Seeing them as prosperous city, now everything was fallen apart. Knowing them dying because of terrorist bombing everywhere and also they also kidnapped Maranaos to be their slaves. According to GMA news report, Maute group kidnapped many civilians, many of them are teenagers and also younger than teenager and they are force to be married with them. They also force the boys to be part of them, to fight with them. This will help to strengthen their group. I feel bad to the Maute group who begin the war. According also to GMA news report, they are not just a Filipino residents, they also have a backup from another country like Indonesians and Malaysians. I feel dissapointed for them because they blinded themselves by money and power. They became slave by their own eagerness to be most powerful and to own a huge land. They are aiming for a thing that can make them bad. It is not good to abuse your power. It is not good to aim for excessive power because it can make you worst person.
