To be whatever religion I desire, that is freedom. Here in America- especially my generation- we take our freedom for granted. People look at America as a happy, hardworking, free country. A country, that if you are diligent, you will be able to support yourself. America has given us so many chances but when will everyone learn to use them accurately.
Does The “American Dream” Still Exist? AMERICAN DREAM The American Dream is the belief that anything can be achieved through Hard Work and Determination. Its idolized by most all immigrants idolize this idea but almost all natural born Americans take this opportunity for granted. A prime example of a successful endeavor Is MLK. He fought for black rights and achieved it with persistence, even though he is no longer here his movements and actions will forever effect America.
Here in America I know I can achieve all these things that I desire because of opportunity. Everyone gets the opportunity to do something great, something no one else has ever tried before. Thomas Edison, an American inventor once said, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls, and looks like work.” I will achieve all my goals in life, plus take every opportunity given, cause if I don’t I know i’ll regret it. Regrets will never be what I want to achieve, cause like
Living in the United States it is easy to be ungrateful for what we might consider the bare minimum. Therefore I have learned to be grateful for every opportunity that is allotted to me. I make the best out of every situation with a smile on my face because there is always someone worse off than you. As a Public Health professional these life lessons have molded me to be the individual I am today. An individual for a passion to plan, implement and evaluate public health programs and policies.
To me, there are many gifts that America has given to you and I. These gifts all might be taken for granted and not acknowledged by all of us, but they all make huge impacts in how we live our lives. These gifts can be our freedoms, our land, and our laws. Although these are all grand, I think that the biggest gift of all is being able to call all of these gifts ours. It is a gift being able to do this because we are able to live free lives, believe in what we like, and say what we like.
The gifts from America to my generation are amazing. The fact that so many people fought and even died for our freedom is incredible. I 'm going to list some of the gifts America has given my generation and how thankful I am for them. The first gift America has given to my generation is freedom of speech. I 'm so glad that we are allowed to say and think what we want.
A simple definition would describe it as the ideal that all American citizens have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. However that is not all the American Dream is. In its core the American Dream is freedom. The freedom to succeed, the freedom to have land, power, equality, hope, and a better tomorrow. But it is a dream, not a expectation, not a eventually, not a truth.
During his acceptance speech of the Nobel price,King has supported wholly-heartedly an inspirational theme. This essay is about to advance the idea that indeed purity of heart and true love are able to overpass any kind of racism and lead to a unified world. While this may be true, still in every society there is always a group of people who is superstitious. They fear of any different situations possible to alter their life.In order to hide their fear they often tend to turn it into anger and mockery. This is the point when "the starless midnight of racism" makes its vicious appearance.Anger and mockery put in a margin people who are traced with marks of diversity such as age, gender, race, religion and any kind of retardeness. As a result,a world of hatred, isolation and discrimmination begins. However,if one wishes to be called a
Without love America would not be the country that it is, we would not cherish our luxuries, we would not care about our country as a whole and we certainly would not be as successful as we are. Americans have a lot of love and passion for our country, we have more passion for our country than we do for our Sunday football, which you could say is a lot. Love is something that you cannot fake, love is something that you genuinely care about and with love comes positive actions. We show our love to America by joining the army, voting for positive positive people to represent America, working and we sing our national anthem proudly while looking at our flag passionately. There is one thing that we Americans love more than our country and that is each other because we are a
Opportunity to become anything I want in America. Hope for our lives to become better. This is what makes our amazing country and I am so grateful for all these gifts. Freedom is one of the gifts I am grateful for in America. Freedom is being what I want to be and not being forced into something I don 't like, like a marriage or a job.
Being an American means helping your sworn enemy, even if you do not want to, but you shall help with dignity and pride. Being American means that you capture the true aspect of every being, from the simplest little flower to the most-beautiful person in the world.it also means that we are united as one, under whatever deity you worship, and to be able to
In conclusion, the passengers of United Flight 93 are heroes because of their courage, their selflessness, and their willingness to work together. Through this research, I learned that every day people can become heroes. I learned that the actions of only a few people can completely change the entire outcome of a situation. I learned that people willing to sacrifice everything they have for their country, including people in it, are what truly makes this nation the greatest in the world. Lastly, I learned that good can always overcome
Kyla, “I think that the Japanese-Americans handled themselves very positively. Although we kept them behind fences and locked them up like they were criminals they still fought for us, they fought for our country and I think that takes someone who really loves America to do that.”-Kyla . I agree whole heartedly with you that these people have poise that goes beyond the norm, Christ like. The way they turned the cheek and endured for what they believed in was truly amazing. George Takei did a great job telling their story, true heroes.
The great President Ronald Reagan once said, “America is still a beacon, still a magnet for all who must have freedom, for all the pilgrims from all the lost places who are hurting through the darkness toward home.” (Artifact 4) Like a magnet, we draw people in. We are the only country in this entire world that has had such success from our very beginning. Because of the hope of a bright future, our founding fathers worked to make today possible. My personal belief is that God lifted their fences and cleared their foggy glasses a bit to give them each individually a glimpse of what could be. I believe they were gifted with imaginations far superior to yours and mine.
I believe that we are the ultimate interpretation of democracy and the result is that we are free to make our dreams a reality. America is the land full of possibilities where a penny can be turned into a dime with just hard work and perseverance. Being an American is all about taking advantage of the freedom of opportunities given to you. We offer a wide selection of opportunities that many places around us do not offer. Not every citizen takes these advantage, but those who do strive in the most marvelous way possible all thanks to the freedom given to us.
