After World War II, American society changed dramatically. One change was the GI Bill. This bill provided for veterans after the war. The benefits to this bill was low-cost mortgages, low-interest loans to start a business, cash payments for college, and one year of unemployment compensation. Another change was the population shift. Many people in the United States started to move to sunbelt states, which describes sunny areas from the southern atlantic coast to California. This population shift was only possible because of advancements in air conditioning, airplanes, and an improved highway system. This was especially the place where seniors loved to go because of the nice weather. The places where the people lived were called Levittowns.
The United States of America is recognized around the world as the land of the free. America was founded by immigrants prior to it becoming a nation in 1776. Current American citizens at one point in their family’s history have a family member that immigrated from another country. America has become what it is today because of the different ethnic and cultural backgrounds the various immigrant groups bring to America’s society. Americans should not forget where their ancestors came from.
America has gone through a lot as a country. Without its past, it wouldn’t be what it is today. The main point of learning our history is to be knowledgeable of what has constructed our present, such as America’s wars, segregation, slavery, and everything that has molded the United States of America into the country that it is today. Our founding fathers took great care in giving us a Constitution, to make sure we all have equal rights and responsibilities. History has molded our present and determined our future as a country.
The culture during the 1860s in the United States of America has changed many times and is still changing today. Look back to the times during the Civil War. Clothing was being morphed throughout the decade into different styles and fashions depending on the location of where the people lived such as towns or rural areas. Architecture in the 1860s also had varieties of styles such as the Victorian style. Agriculture and transportation were also, a major part in the culture of the 1860s and they were closely connected to each other and the root of the country’s economy. The Native American's teachings long ago may account for the success of the people’s agriculture in the 1860s.
Dear fellow nasty women and bad hombres, America is one the greatest experiments in freedom and liberty history has ever known. We are a nation that was built on the minds and ideals of immigrants. Our Founding Fathers created America so that everyone could have a chance at "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Those are aspects of my country, I would never change because they are what make us unique. The glow of America casts a ripple of hope upon those who struggle.

The idea of America is freedom over life, liberty, and equality for the pursuit of happiness. According to the Merriam Webster’s Dictionary; freedom means the quality or state of being free. Liberty means the state or condition of people who are able to act and speak freely. Equality means the quality or state of being equal; the quality or state of having the same rights or social status. The following paragraphs will show support for these ideas, starting with freedom.

What is America to you? Democracy is what first would come to mind, it is the core value of what America stands for. Being democratic has given the United States of America a title of a leader of change by its people. Recent survey information from local University of California, Santa Barbara students, the millennials feel as though the democratic system is up to our values with improvement of representation toleration in our nation.

I believe America is a place where all people have a chance to succeed in life. I also believe that in America people have the freedom to stand up for their beliefs and fight for them.
As each year passes in America, life continuously changes through the advancement of technology. However, a more important change in America is seen through the attitudes and actions of the people. In today's society, people place more concern toward their own needs; furthermore, people are becoming increasingly violent with others. In addition, not only are people hurting each other but also themselves through extensive drug usage.
How is the nation changing and how does that affect the nation's pride? After the war of 1812 Jackson was elected president. After the war of 1812 The American people had a lot of nationalism. When Jackson was elected for president it was called the age of Jackson. Some believed that that the states should be stronger and others were for the government. After Andrew Jackson became president it seemed that America lost their nationalism.
For many years, and years to come, America has been a country that many people like to visit and enjoy. We are very patriotic here in America, many people believe in our country’s ways and leaders. People enjoy visiting America not only because of our wonderful land and nature, but also because people like to see what it is like to be free and to have freedom of expression and all of those amendments that make our country free and great. Though we do have great lands and an extremity of beautiful nature surrounding us, especially here in Michigan. America has been known as a very patriotic and fair country, we are the land of the free and home of the brave.
During the 1800 many individuals shaped what we call today the American society and culture. Many settlers’ didn’t know how impactful this would affect in today’s society. Some of the greatest example that changed America was Roger Williams, Alexander Hamilton, Nathanael Greene, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Rolfe, William Penn, Benjamin Franklin, and least but not last Thomas Paine. They became well recognized during the 1800 due to their major judgments such as religious issues, politically, economically, and founding new lands in America. In addition, they also left a legacy for many founded colonies in the United States.
When a person hears or sees the word America, what do they think? America is a country that almost everyone in the world knows about because there are certain words and phrases that can be used to describe it. Some common terms are sports, equality, the melting pot, powerful, freedom, hard working, and some more. All of these words make up what is known as the American Identity. This American Identity has been built up over time by people’s actions and thoughts.
