Trevor Stiede 9/24/14 Block A & B Era paper Era of 1976-2000 Whether it was the beat of rap music, beating drums in a parade or beating the record on Crash Bandicoot, the era of 1976-2000 changed America. The era of 1976-2000 was significant to America. It was significant to America because of rap music, America's 200th birthday, and the release of three big hit game consoles.
America has always been a pluralistic nation, comprised of various backgrounds and ideologies that often conflict with one another. At any point in our history, when one idea seems to
After World War II, American society changed dramatically. One change was the GI Bill. This bill provided for veterans after the war. The benefits to this bill was low-cost mortgages, low-interest loans to start a business, cash payments for college, and one year of unemployment compensation. Another change was the population shift.
The United States was born from a fight. From 1775 - 1783, the colonists fought British to be able to “forge their own destiny.” Since then, The U.S. has been involved in many conflicts and wars. No matter who wins and who loses the war, it usually makes changes for both sides. The United States has had many changes over the years after war.
To Americans, America is a normal, basic country. America is an argumentative and feeling country with debates around every corner; yet somehow it retains a respectable air for a majority of the time. However, to people who live outside of America, the idea of what America is or could be differs entirely.
This country is great for many reason, despite its hardships. One of the many reasons is that we have freedom to chose, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech. We are also a melting pot for many different ethnicity. Being an American is about the freedom we here enjoy. We are full of different ethnicity and cultures.
Liberty is a right of individual to freely exercise those rights generally accepted as being outside of governmental control. This is something that is becoming more and more popular in the time period of 1775 to 1797. Over this time period America became free from England and they changed some laws where now America was able to have freedom of speech and many other things. At the end of this time period America had it first president, George Washington. The way that people lived their day to day lives changed drastically in only 22 years.
As each year passes in America, life continuously changes through the advancement of technology. However, a more important change in America is seen through the attitudes and actions of the people. In today's society, people place more concern toward their own needs; furthermore, people are becoming increasingly violent with others. In addition, not only are people hurting each other but also themselves through extensive drug usage.
America is a nation where great things happen consistently, but with the good comes the bad. People are judged and criticized everyday for who they are or who they like. This should be changed. In this free country no one should be stripped of what they are because it's different than a majority. If the citizens of America come together and realize being different is not a bad thing, we can begin to heal as a whole nation.
For many years, and years to come, America has been a country that many people like to visit and enjoy. We are very patriotic here in America, many people believe in our country’s ways and leaders. People enjoy visiting America not only because of our wonderful land and nature, but also because people like to see what it is like to be free and to have freedom of expression and all of those amendments that make our country free and great. Though we do have great lands and an extremity of beautiful nature surrounding us, especially here in Michigan. America has been known as a very patriotic and fair country, we are the land of the free and home of the brave.
America is changing in many different ways that is no doubt. Everything we do and say conflicts what 's going to happen tomorrow, and the most of us are too young to understand or just don 't care. America is different than yesterday, it 's different than last week, month, year! There are some good, but unfortunately there is a lot more bad out there than there is good. Sometimes you’ll meet someone and feel like youve known them your whole life.
There are far too many parallels between ancient Rome and modern America. It seems as if many people do not care enough about the path our country is headed down. Ethics and values have gone out the window, the government has doomed the working class, people have become violent, people are acting without fully thinking and war is constant. America needs a change before it is too late. Ethics and values have merely disappeared but when they are present they seem to be hypocritical.
America is the place that seems to give opportunities and equal changes to all. They have more freedom than others (but not total freedom). America is a united people working together. I believe America is a place where all people have a chance to succeed in life. I also believe that in America people have the freedom to stand up for their beliefs and fight for them.
Through all of the racism, wars, and even crime, I still love this country that we call the home of the free and the land of the brave. America, even when compared to Third World countries that are suffering from poverty and serious crime and wars that kill over half of a country population then it seems that America is as close to being one of the best place to live on earth as any country can possibly get. America is the heartland of many other people's dreams. People in other countries will die for a chance to start a life in America. That is why, in my opinion, America is the best country in the world.
When a person hears or sees the word America, what do they think? America is a country that almost everyone in the world knows about because there are certain words and phrases that can be used to describe it. Some common terms are sports, equality, the melting pot, powerful, freedom, hard working, and some more. All of these words make up what is known as the American Identity. This American Identity has been built up over time by people’s actions and thoughts.
