George Washington was a great leader. He had shown his leadership skills in many ways throughout his life, but mainly when he stepped into the role of president. In my opinion, George Washington was the best president the United States of America has ever had because he was the first president. He stepped into a completely new role in a new government system, set precedents for the role, and led our country diplomatically. While Washington was not perfect, as no human being is, he was a great president and proved so in his eight years in office. When George Washington was offered the role of President he was somewhat reluctant, but his humility towards the situation is one of the things that made Washington such a good candidate for leading
While John Quincy Adams was in office, the 363 mile - long Erie Canal is completed from Lake Erie to New York City, linking the Atlantic and trans-Atlantic markets with the growing agricultural production in the Northwest states. They began the construction of the Erie Canal in 1817. Adams had strongly supported the national planning of and the use of national funds for an improved transportation foundation. In 1826, Military Training Manuals were created. Also, while Adams was in office he attempted to find something to provide Native Americans with territory in the West, but this failed to find support in Congress.
George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were both presidents that had a huge impact on the structure of our beautiful country. As they built and thought of knew theories and ideas the country expanded to what is now called the United States of America. With very different times and struggles though both presidencies it was always clear that as leaders of the United States they were going to finish anything they started or fought for to keep the country intact. Even though both these presidents were considered successful they were both motivated and raised in totally different ways. Washington was raised in a wealthy lifestyle as he grew up.
While sometimes congress, the people and even his own army were willing to give up the fight, George Washington was willing to fight by himself even if he had to and die for the American cause. His determination allowed for the cause to stay alive, and motivated a whole country to keep on fighting. In my opinion, being so resourceful as well as humble is what made him a great man in the history
During his presidency, a war between the French and British was making political difficulties for the United States. Adams's administration focused their diplomatic efforts on France, whose government had temporarily made commercial imports illegal. Adams sent three commissioners to France, but the French refused to negotiate or even speak to us unless the United States agreed to pay what amounted to a huge amount of money also known as a bribe. When this became the knowledge of the people, the nation banned out in favor of war.

After leading the continental army to an improbable victory over the world's most powerful empire, Washington faced another daunting challenge to transform ink on parchment into the actually of the American presidency. The power of the modern presidency is not defined by the constitution. It's defined by the Washington presidency. If you read the constitution of the United States on the executive branch and the power of the presidency.
During the eighteenth century, the American Revolution ended and the Constitution was born. Before the Constitution, the failed attempt of government, the Articles of Confederation, left the states with too much power and a weak central government. Following the formation of the new government, George Washington took office as the United States’ first president. Prior to this he was a general who fought in the Revolutionary War. Having been a successful general, he was elected into office.
George Washington showed almost all the qualities of a king during his presidency and not many or almost none at all of a bad king. George Washington was a hard-working, “Man who unites all hearts” (Ellis 121). Washington was filled with one certain word that describes

In 1789 George Washington was declared the First President of the United States several years after the American Revolution had already ended, even though he never really ran for president. Before Washington was president he lived a normal life at Mt. Vernon, on the Potomac River in Virginia, and spent his time as a large plantation owner. Washington was the most popular and most respected man after the American Revolution, and most people expected him to become the United State’s first president. In April of 1789, Washington received all sixty-nine electoral votes and took place as the new head of government, the President. Although, being the first to do something can be very difficult, like using a constitution to run a newly developed government
The name of our hero is George Washington. He is our hero because he was the first to become president of the U.S.A, he was also a chief of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. George Washington was asked to be the general of the United states first army and he was asked to be the first President. As the author stated in his book that he does not have the intention to compete with other writers or historians, but his idea was to give a clear an fresh portrait of Washington that focused largely on his characters. Did you ever consider whether King George or George Washington would be better suited to lead? King George was not a bad leader as everyone claimed he was. King George and George Washington were both good leaders, but when you look deeper, you will realize who really was the better leader; King George. Thus, I believe King George would be better suited to lead, because King George was taught to be a leader since he was little, King George took care of his men well, and King George did what was best for the people. First of all, King George was raised being taught how to be a good leader since he was little, and he was born into a long history of kings and queens that all were experienced leaders.
