I want to be a volunteer with Homeless Outreach because I enjoyed the Homeless Outreach community service when I was at Reality Camp. At Reality Camp, I participated in an "Urban Plunge" walk. Afterwards, I listened to homeless people speak about their circumstances. Then in the morning, we had breakfast with the homeless people. I found all three of these experiences to be very eye-opening and rewarding. The "Urban Plunge" showed me how extensive the services are for Spokane 's homeless population, how low their self esteem is because of how they are treated, and how the no loitering laws really hurt the homeless population. Hearing them talking was a very eye-opening experience for me. It taught me that anyone can become homeless and how
Introduction The exercise to establish the number of homeless people in the United States is of critical significance. Homelessness poses immense challenges to efforts aimed at controlling infectious diseases and renders the homeless at immense risk of serious mental and physical health effects. This subject is particularly becomes sensitive on considering the significant number of homeless veterans in the US. Especially in the recent past, homelessness has emerged as a costly problem.
In chapter 8 the characters express their ideas on what they think it’s like for someone that’s homeless. After everyone 's put out their ideas one of the quieter girls says that homeless people are worthless. Ian pauses then states that maybe they aren’t worthless but worth less than everyone else. I think that for someone to think about the hierarchy, and where people are placed is how I would want to would want to see the world. If someone thinks that deeply about how society works and the people in it I would want to be like that person.

In 1865, Abraham Lincoln gave his 2nd Inaugural Address to the people of the United States. As the speech came to a close, he stated, “To care for him who shall have borne the battle” (Lincoln 2). In this quote, Lincoln was trying to tell the people of the United States, that they needed to help Veterans of war and their families. However, 153 years later, 40,000 United States Veterans are living on the streets or in homeless shelters.
I chose this topic because everywhere I go, I see veterans, homeless and disabled, standing or slumped in a position of despair and hopelessness. These veterans are the results of fighting for our country and safety and now left in a positions of needing someone to fight for them. That should be the "TOP" priority of our Veteran Affairs Administration and reflected in their webpage. We now have so many veterans from so many different facets of life and ethnic backgrounds that the majority of them absolutely no support or hope. What in being done to encourage, support and direct our non famous and not rich veterans who find themselves in a "you 're served us well
Although helping out at a all mens homeless shelter did not not have anything to do with my project it was an experience that I would not trade. As I said in a previous paragraph most people just assume the homeless got that way on their own wrongdoing by becoming a drug addict. While being there we met with some of the house managers who explained to us that those guys who were living there got that way from some unfortunate event that happened in their life that was not their fault, they also drugtest them often and sometimes unannounced and if they fail the test then they are out of their housing. I think that more people should volunteer with either Good Samaritan or another organization like that because it is not only a very worthwhile cause but also an extremely well run and meaningful

Throughout the United States, the amount of homeless people is gradually increasing as the years go by. Roughly, a half million people are living on the streets, in cars, homeless shelters, or in transitional housing. Many people who are homeless lack one important thing: a job with a steady income. There are numerous arguments as to why these people do not obtain these jobs, reasons such as not having an address for applications or not being able to look presentable to the public on duty. For whatever the reason may be, these people need an immense amount of guidance and support available from their community that surrounds them.
The human body is a machine with a very complicated working mechanism. For a human being to be productive, his body should be in good shape and health.
