The Ku Klux Klan was a mean and ugly group of people. They harmed inosint people just because if their skin color. I don’t know if that 's just how it went back then but it all seemed like an real ugly place to be. I know that they did this just because they didn 't want the colored people in their world so they made it miserable for them. Why couldn 't they just learn to be kind to everyone and understand that they are living human beings just like them however they have different colored skin. The Ku Klux Klan would terrorize these people for nothing, it kind of like they would do it for fun. They also hated the Jews although they were more interested in getting rid of the blacks. The Ku Klux Klan was founded in 1866, they extended into almost every southern state in the united states by 1870. People call the Ku Klux Klan KKK for short. The government tried to stop the Ku Klux Klan. They even passed an act to try and stop the Klan however the government was scarce because the Ku Klux Klan killed republican leaders. The Klan didn 't even care what the government thought because they were doing what they wanted to do. Everyone in the Klan was trying their best to not let the government in on what they were going to do. The government decided to pass an act against the KKK. The story “To Kill a Mockingbird” connects with the Ku Klux Klan because in the book they were enforcing actions against african-americans. The Ku Klux Klan would blame these black men for things that they didn’t even do and that 's what they did to Tom Robinson in the book. A girl named Mayella convinced everyone that Tom had raped her, when he really didn 't. The whole jury sentenced tom to jail and everyone thought he was guilty besides atticus. The Ku Klux Klan would convince all these white people that blacks were so bad and how they do horrible things when really it was the white people doing
