The last thing anyone would want to do in their free time would be to grade a bunch of nasty kids essays. It would be very courageous to read essay and grading one after another. One of the few things that are more courageous than reading thousands of horrible essays is becoming a language arts teacher. Courage is important and can be used as a source of power and is used in everyday life! In the book Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, Melinda needs courage so badly, but has very little. Cool people use it to become a teacher and others used courage to become astronauts! Without courage nothing would get done. Everyone would be very scared to do something as simple as talking to one of our friends without courage! In the book Speak Melinda needs to stand up for herself when IT comes to beat her up for revenge. She needs a ton of courage to stand up for herself after everything she went through. When puts a shard of glass to ITs neck he backs off. “The tears dissolve the last block of ice in my throat.
