Christmas time is mostly an important time for all families and friends to gather and share memories, the birth of Jesus, and also the exchanging of gifts. As I grew up every year around Christmas time was always very exciting. Knowing it’d be Christmas day soon and I could open presents but most importantly being able to go pick out a tree. The joy of going out in the air, and looking through a variety of trees to choose from. They were all so bold and beautiful, it was very hard to be able to choose which one I thought would be the best for our house. Keeping in mind there wasn’t a big enough space to ever get the tree that I wanted, but I had to give in on some occasions.
As a kid I have always had the opportunity to go out with my grandparents and pick out a Christmas Tree. We always had a certain day we would go by and pick it out and also go to the same place. We

This kept me sane, and allowed me to be able to relive the many Christmas’s that I had with my Grandparents. The ornaments and lights were by far my favorite thing to put up. I always had certain ornaments that had to be placed, and we always used colored lights. The ornaments that always had to be placed were ones I had from my first Christmas all the way to ornaments that were handmade or even ones that were for other family members that had passed. This kept everyone happy, being able to see past events that were meaningful to them. Colored lights on a tree always made it look livelier and gave it more characteristics. I feel like the lights have always resembled me as a person by the twinkle and the glow of the light itself. It describes my personality; I’m always smiling and laughing and trying to make others happy. I’ve always enjoyed making people happy even when I’m not, it honestly makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something and feel warm on the inside. That itself gives me
Hood was exciting. I was able to spend it with family; eating whatever meal came with that holiday. If it was Christmas, I would be playing in the snow with my kids. Having a snowball fight. Being free to do whatever came to mine.
So the point after all is pretty much inculcate faith, not raise some greedy competitive children. To this day, this popular tradition has actually been vanishing and I believe that it will disappear in a couple of years. Well, at least it has decreased its popularity over higher classes as these have developed more sophisticated Christmases. Anyhow, as of today many Colombians still cherish the day that Christmas eve arrives and it’s their time to prove their skills, win some extra bucks and spend a joyful time with their
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas The Grinch who stole Christmas is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books and one of my favorite Christmas movies. I found 3 things similar to one another in the book and the movie which had the Grinch who hated Christmas, the Who’s who loved Christmas, and the Grinch stole all of the presents and food. One identical thing I found in the movie and book was that the Grinch hated Christmas. If they didn’t put the Grinch’s hate for Christmas in both the book and, he would have no reason to steal Christmas and it wouldn’t have been a very good movie.
The Civic of Christmas When most people think of Christmastime, they picture Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, The Nutcracker, and snow-covered hills perfect for sledding. At face value, these age-old holiday observances are just ways of celebrating the holiday season, or traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. However, upon further examination, aspects of the holiday season have had deep-rooted impacts on our society. During the turn-of-the-twentieth-century Progressive Era, practiced rhetoricians took strategic advantage of the opportunity to connect the emotional appeals of the holiday season with the widespread social activism that unfurled across the nation. The landmark
The sound of birds chirping garishly outside my window, wakens me from a deep slumber. Opening my eyes, I see the morning sun’s rays illuminating my room. I’m longing for sleep to engulf me back into its warm embrace. My father ruins any hope of going back to sleep as he hollers upstairs that breakfast is ready. Standing up and doing a morning stretch is when I first smell it.
The winter season was upon us. Snow fell, christmas decorations were up, and our spirits were high. My brother, Milan, and I loved the holiday season. Spending time with our family, opening gifts, playing in the snow; it was all like a dream come true. Every year we made our own wish lists, decorating them in green and red stickers.
