I believe that good communication will be as a business professional to play a key role in your success. no matter how grand or technology, you are in other areas. Communication skills also give us in the job market is an important competitive advantage.
As I review the Conley Readiness assessment I notice I have two “stronger” areas and two “weaknesses”. My strongest point happens to be in the thinking category. My strong point in the thinking category is said to be communication. I like to think i communicate well with people around me, whether I'm at work, at school, or just anywhere I tend to go in my free time. I also know where to go when I need information on a paper. My strengths make me a better student because in my everyday school life I need to know and understand how to think critically. We need common sense and to be able to get the help we wish to gain through communication, and thinking logically.
1. Describe the skills or attributes you believe are necessary to be an outstanding teacher.
My experience with code enforcement relates to the knowledge I obtain through compliance trainings. Approach every individual with a customer-centric attitude, no matter the situation. Properly articulating, patience and good steering ensures that everyone is working towards the same goal as we attempt to develop a collaborative solution. In addition to remembering that peer pressure is real, your positivity will suddenly shift on to that individual.
According to my strength finder survey, some of my strengths is being competitive, an achiever and a maximizer. Some weaknesses was paying attention for a long period of time, getting stressed easily and reading. There have been both internal and external factors challenging my success here at Georgia Southern. Internal factors have definitely challenged my success here so far. The amount of stress just makes you want to stop working and never go back. All that stress also causes you to be tired all the time. There has not been a day so far where I haven’t fallen asleep in class for a minute. Another internal factor would be the choices you get to make. Your parents are not here to tell you what to do anymore. There is always something going on here at Georgia Southern so you either have the choice to go out to get your school work done. External factors also challenged my college success. The heat and humidity here are outrageous. When walking to class my energy would be drained from the heat and I would not feel like learning. My
Strengths- I have always been told by my teachers that I am a good writer. When writing, I organize my thoughts in ways that make my writing easy to follow and understand. Another strength of mine is my vocaublary. Due to many years of extensive vocabulary instruction, and just a love for learning and using new words, my vocabulary is broad.
I feel like my strength as a writer would be creativity. I can come up with a story about pretty much anything from things that could actually happen to things that are completely impossible. Another strength of mine would be my love for writing. I love writing so much that although sometimes I feel like a failure, I won’t let myself give up on it. My weaknesses though, now that is a long line. I tend to get off topic sometimes which is really bad when writing stories. Another weakness of mine would be formatting. Certain forms of writing should have a specific type of format. Also feeling like a failure is a weakness, it discourages me sometimes and my writing may get affected.
My best strengths are my ability to influence people, my positive outlook and attitude, self discipline, my proven track record, my problem solving skills, and the fact I am coachable.
What are your greatest professional strengths? My ability to listen is one of my greatest professional strenghts. By practicing the art of listening, I am then able to communicate effectively. The ability to listen to people has also rewarded me time and time again with great ideas for class lessons or for my writing. It has improved on my overall success because I am able to listen to critiscim with an open mind and learn from it. I am also able to connect with people because I allow myself to empathisize with whom I am speaking with. Professional doors have opened to me becuase people remember the way they felt when they feel they are truly be
Having the chance to experience this Mock Job Interview open my eyes up to a lot of things. Being a Roanoke Valley Early College these are some of the great opportunities that you will receive. In class we took notes on how to properly do an interview from the day that you will walk in the door until the moment you walk out. We learned the expectations on how to properly groom, dressing, sit in the chair, answering questions with length, grammar, eye contact, firm handshake, making resumes and thank you letters.
I’ve grown as a student of English this term. I worked on several things including my weaknesses, what i struggle with on a daily basis and even my strengths. Doing this has helped me become a better reader, writer, thinker and a better person. I’ve also use the resources available, like going to tutoring and asking for help when i still feel stuck on something. Going for help is much better than trying to figure out for myself what i needed to work on. I know by setting a goal for myself and planning has also made me grow as a student. My reading and thinking isn 't much of a problem. But i still have a lot of weaknesses i need to focus on, such has actually trying to read an article or sometimes missing key ideas of what i’ve read.
My personal strengths are that I am a dedicated student as well as never giving up. For me, I love being involved in things that makes a difference in our community and our school, that is why I am in an abundant amount of community service clubs. I am always consistent and not doing things last minute or just because it looks good on college apps. I do it because it means something to me and that I want to make a difference. Sometimes, there are times in my life that I am not able to handle the things on my plate, but I am resilient and able to pick myself back up on my own. I have dealt with depression, rejection, and even just simple stress. I am able to take a step back and realize that I am able to get over this and just to take it one
The more experience I gain in the work force the more it is clear to me how important communication skills can be. Right out of high school I began working in an office. I was very shy and kept to myself as much as possible. As I began to grow with the company I quickly learned I needed to come out of my comfort zone and communicate more with my fellow co-workers and supervisors if I wanted to move up within the company. By the time I had reach a supervisor level I had gained enough knowledge from work experience and college course to truly understand how important good communication is. A lot has changed in the last 15 years that I have been in the work force and communication has grown along with all the technology that is available to us
Different methods are necessary to be used in order to measure professional skills in connection to the organisational requirements to attain its objectives and support strategic direction and this does not apply to managers only but every team member in an organisation. Rees (2008), stated some professional requirements for managers but also for other members which are the coaching, leadership skills and mentoring, multi-tasking among others. In relation to the position I hold in the organisation, here are the two techniques which are going to be discussed:
My strengths tell me that I have the tools to work on my weaknesses. In life, my skills of getting along with diverse groups and communicating with people effectively have benefited me in getting jobs and having favor with supervisors.
