From his first song successful song “Get in the way” to his last top hit “I Don’t Get Tired”. Gates is continuing to make his singing career more successful, and making rap look even better.

Gates song “#IDGT’ has many meanings to it. What do you think it means? One reason this song is successful is because of the inspirational message of Gates referring to events in his life that also could also relate to people in their life and people outside the rap game. The song is also telling you to work hard, play hard, live hard, even if there are rough times. To show that the song talks about working hard through rough times, the song “I Don’t Get Tired” uses figurative language to show the main message in the song. In the song Gates says “I want them dead presidents” (l,2), Gates is referring to wanting money. Gates also says “Get it, get fly, I got six jobs I don’t tired” (l,4), and he is saying that even he has “six jobs” and even though he has 6 jobs he doesn’t get tired. Gates refers to many other things, another example is “I was tryna get it how I live”(l,1) he is saying to make the best of what you have. Also Gates says “Don’t mimic pretenders, just be who you are” he is saying to just be yourself, to never pretend to something that you aren’t in life.
