Breast Cancer is a very close subject to my family. My mom’s aunt passed away about 2 years ago now from breast cancer. Every type of cancer breaks families apart every year. I wish I could heal every person with cancer no one should have to go through this pain of losing a loved one.

The Birthmark by Nathaniel Hawthorne is a short story about scientist named Aylmer who becomes obsessed with perfecting the beauty of his wife Georgiana (Nathaniel Hawthorne 113). Georgiana has a small birthmark on her cheek that resembles a small hand. Over time Aylmer’s negative reactions to the sight of the birthmark pushes Georgiana emotionally to give in and go through the dangerous process of it’s removal, which ultimately cost Georgiana her life. The story of an Hour by Kate Chopin is about a woman Louise who has a heart condition and is married to a man named Brently Mallard.

The skin cells can be destroyed from a severe sunburn or/and tanning beds. When it first forms it will look like a dark freckle and it will start to become bigger until it is large enough to spread to the other organs. “In 2016 alone, over 10,000 people died in the U.S.” Says the Melanoma Research Foundation. There is no definite way to avoid this cancer because your age and family history can't be controlled. Although there are ways you can try to prevent this cancer from happening in the future.
The main sign of vitiligo is pigmented or color loss that produces white or light colored patches on the skin. The main parts of the body most at risk for this condition are areas of the skin exposed to the sun. Vitiligo, usually, first appears on the hands, feet, arms, face, or lips because these areas are most exposed to the sun. There are many signs of the condition of vitiligo. The main five signs are skin discoloration, premature whitening or greying of hairs, loss of color in the tissues that line the mouth and nose, loss in color of the inner layer of the eyeball, or discolored patches around the armpit, navel, genitals, and rectum.

Aylmer is very troubled how the birthmark resembles in Georgiana’s face. He proclaimed that it is a natural flaw that has affected her vivid human perfection. Since Aylmer is a scientist he propose to Georgiana to get rid of her birthmark once and for all. At first she angrily questions Aylmer’s proposition, but her love for him changes her thoughts and she accepts to permanently get rid of the birthmark.
