Is globalization a choice or destiny?

Before we discuss the meaning of globalization in the world we should define what this process is. Many resources give different definitions but a common version of it would be: globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology. Globalization has some serious influence on different parts of the world and humanity such as economic growth, labour, people's culture, climate change and environment, political situation and many others. It is an extremely important process in the modern world.

As everything in this world, globalization has some serious disadvantages which can overpower its assets. First of all, it makes poor counties poorer since it was first focused on the enrichment of industrialized countries and only then on developing counties. It causes unequal distribution of the goods: the rich consume more than the poor. The second disadvantage is even though barriers between counties must be reduced, some countries still raise them so world market does not function ideally. The third and one of the most fearful ones is that foreign workers are not treated equally and they often get lower salaries than citizens of the state they moved to. The fourth one is that corporations are gaining power and governments are afraid that they will rule the world instead of politicians. From this the following question arises: who should rule the country? Market or government? Another disadvantage is caused by traveling. Though traveling is a great opportunity and doubtless profit for people, it can bring many different diseases to the world which are spread by travellers. And the last but not least, it contributed to the exploitation of labour. As we can see from the examples above, if countries resist the process of globalization, they lose more than they gain. Since the most valuable factor of globalization is economic well-being of a state, if a country doesn't import and export products, it cannot fully provide its people with all essentials for good life and it will lose its economic power. It is frightening, especially in modern world where scientists agree on whether the market rules a state or government does. Economy in our world is an extremely important aspect of modern life and all counties should gain their economic power in order to care about a country's welfare. Why would a government want to have law quality of life in their states? Another significant factor is distribution of new technologies and science. One country itself cannot reach a technology progress and invent all machines or treatment to all deceases. Associations with the best scientists of different countries work all together in order to reach the best result. Without this cooperation, technological progress would be never attained and world's technologies would be stuck at the same level. Moreover, since we wouldn't be aware of situations in other countries, we would never know how to rule our own state, what situations we should avoid and how to defence ourselves and from what since we would have no orienteer.
