Jackie Robinson January 31, 1919 in Cairo, Georgia, this is where it all started at the birth of Jack Roosevelt Robinson.You may know him back in his prime as Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson,the first African American to play major league baseball,opened the door for future African American athletes by overcoming segregation.Jackie had fought diversity his whole life but having to not fight back was his hardest challenge yet. There were five children in the Robinson family Edgar, Frank, Mack, Willa Mae, and Jackie.
