John Wayne Gacy- The Clown That Killed
John Gacy was born on March 17, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Gacy and his siblings grew up with a drunken father who would beat the children with a razor strap if even perceived to have misbehaved; the man also physically assaulted his mother too. Growing up, Gacy was a quiet boy who was never really popular, but was liked by his teachers, co-workers and friends. But a heart failure stopped him from playing with other children. He longed for friendships.
Gacy seemed to have a normal childhood except from the beatings of his father and health problems that grew over time. His father had no sympathy and saw his heart problem as just one more failure. Gacy realized that he was attracted to men, and experienced …show more content…

Besides being an entrepreneur, John Wayne dressed as a clown and performed at children's parties. He called himself “Pogo.” He married and divorced twice and had biological children and stepchildren. In 1968, Gacy was convicted of sexual assault of two teenage boys. This is where all of the serial killings began. On December 11th, 1978 15 year old
Robert Piest went missing. His mother reported to the police that he was last seen headed to
Gacy’s house to work for a potential job. December 21 police searched his house and found evidence of acts and murder. Later it was found that Gacy killed 33 boys and young men, majority was buried under his house or in the garbage. Gacy lured his victims with the promise of work, and then captured, sexually assaulted and eventually strangled most of them with rope.
When he killed, he sometimes dressed as his alter ego “Pogo.”
Ultimately found guilty of 33 murders, Gacy was known as one of the most vicious killers in U.S history. He was sentenced to serve 12 death sentences and 21 natural life sentences where he served this term in a decade and a half.. John Wayne Gacy died of lethal injection May 10, 1994 in Illinois.

If Gacy is continually used to all the violence in his childhood, of course he would show it into his main adulthood. I have watched several documentaries on him and it just seems like he doesn't care about what he did. When he killed it seemed to almost be a split personality or another person that came out when he was doing that. Not one time does he blame any of his actions on himself. Continually, Gacy blames the parents. Stating that well maybe the kids wouldn't have ran away from home if their home life was better than what it is. But one of his victims didn't even have a problem. They was just coming over due to a promised job Gacy had offered. Although Gacy seemed to have the normal life on the inside, he faced so much hidden emotions that no one ever seen. This just shows he was probably just seeking out and trying to get revenge on his father. Or even trying to let other people know what he had to suffer from when he was a child. John Wayne Gacy's father should take full responsibility for his actions and that this was probably one of the main leading causes to his killing spree. Then,
