Have you ever heard of the religions Buddhism and Judaism.These are two very unique religions and have very different beliefs but then they also have a few things in common so they aren 't totally different. They are both very old religions. So first i will tell you about them and then I will compare them.
Well first I am gonna tell who the founder and who follows Judaism. Well the people who follow Judaism is Jews and the founder was Abraham and he found it in 1300 B.C. Judaism is a monotheistic religion they believe in only one god. Judaism only believe in one god and his name is Yahweh. One of their sacred text is the Jewish Bible. Buddhism is also a polytheism religion they also believe in one god. That god is name is Buddha One of their sacred texts is called both records the words of the Buddha. They have many Holy days here is a few Vesak, Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path. The Eightfold Path of Buddhism is the eight practices called right view, right resolve, right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samadhi. So the Noble eightfold path is one of the principal teachings. The four nobles truths comprise the essence of Buddha’s teachings.
Now I am going to talk about how these religions are different.. Then they believe in two different after life 's Buddhism believes in reincarnation which means when you die you are reborn and Judaism believes in heaven or hell. The worship in different places Judaism worship in a Rabbi and Buddhism worships in a temple. Buddhism has a lot more followers they have over 300 million and Judaism has like 15 million. Buddhism was found in 500 b.c. and Judaism was found in 1300 b.c.

Buddhism is a religion born in India 563 B.C. with Siddhartha as there founder. the basic beliefs are the 4 noble truths (Dukkha, Samudaya, Nirodha, and Marga). Like document 6 says noble truth one (Dukkha) "birth is suffering, aging is suffering, illness is suffering etc." In noble truth four (Marga) says "right intention, right action, right effort ect." Which means if you are suffering in some type of way you stop it by doing something right.
There is still an ongoing debate between Hinduism and Buddhism. Buddhism is commonly known as the offshoot of Hinduism and Buddha is seen as originally being a part of Hindu religion. It is widely understood that Buddhism derived from Hinduism and became popular in India. Both Hinduism and Buddhism originate from the subcontinent, India and were formed in ancient times. They are very similar from afar, but when seen up close they far from the same.

In retrospect, the emergence of the each religion stems from the life and teachings of one man. Both leaders proclaimed profound views that they sought to share with others in order to guide them through life. When survey participants were asked what a goal of each respective religion is, 84% indicated that Catholicism intends to spread its beliefs while only 38% marked that Buddhism pursues this goal (Sayson). This is a misconception, for Catholicism and Buddhism are two of the major universalizing religions. They qualify as universalizing religions because each strives to be global and appeal to all people, regardless of their culture or location (Rubenstein 170).
While Hinduism and Buddhism have many similarities, they have major differences as well. Although they do have some similar terms and practices (samsara, karma, meditation), the rest of the two ideologies deviate from one another. One of the biggest differences in my opinion is that Hindus (like myself) are pantheists, whereas Buddhists are atheists. Hindus believe that everything is God, but Buddhists don’t believe in any God. Since Hindus believe everything is God, the soul, atman, is also God.
