Of Mice of Men is a book about two men trying to earn money for their own place, while lennie has a disability, so George has to have him by his side most of the time so he doesn’t get into trouble. While at this farm for a job they run into trouble. Throughout the John Steinbeck novel, the main characters demonstrate George has to take Lennie's power and control away due to the fear that Lennie can’t handle it and could go overboard with it by accident. Lennie can’t handle it and may go overboard. But more often than not, he has to take it away completely.
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck The book is about Lennie and George running away from Weed and working in another Ranch in California. The two of them dream about getting their own ranch and being able to make the rules and become happy for the rest of their lives. However, Lennie is a strong character who is very uneducated and gets him and George into lots of trouble. Lennie often makes mistakes that cause consequences that hurt him.
Then after that, he was too rough with the mice. When he got a puppy, we all knew something was going to happen. Lennie is just too strong and he can’t control it. So, he killed the dog which was a bigger deal than the other situations. As you can see, there is a pattern.
He's visibly confused about why the puppy died. He doesn't understand that what he's doing to these animals and eventually humans is dangerous. Lennie never meant to hurt anyone; he doesn't comprehend the fact that he is stronger than most and can easily hurt others.
Lennie’s character is developed by his speech and actions. Due to his lack of intelligence, his innocent intentions turn into horrific complications. The strong, yet mentally deficient character has plans and hopes for the future that soon become memories of the past. George, Lennie’s best friend, is loyal, compassionate, and caring. George’s character is augmented throughout the story; although, he is faced with many trials and tribulations.
Personally i believe that Lennie was loony and didn 't know how to control himself. In addition, I know in the book Lennie butchered bijou animals uncontrollably. Also Lennie was a kind person, but when he got pissed he hurt Curley However, people might say that he didn 't know what he was doing when doing such things.
From the day that Lennie’s Aunt Clara died and from the day George took Lennie in as a friend George was always there for him. If Lennie did not have George, Lennie would have no one to protect him and save him from all of the bad things that he has done. Despite all of the dangers and problems Lennie got George and himself into, George benefited and also learned from Lennie’s mistakes. George needs his ignorant sidekick as much as Lennie needs George.
Lennie had low brains and high strength, allowing him to get far with George helping him. But, Lennie never knowing when he did something wrong only put him on a clock before he would end up dying for something he didn’t understand. “They run us outta weed,”(Steinbeck 7) this quote shows that already at the beginning of the book Lennie has
George was a good worker, but Lennie was an amazing worker with a tenacious work ethic and stamina. Lennie had incredible strength, but sometimes he did not understand just how massive he was. Many times throughout the book Lennie is caught hurting people or killing animals on accident. The biggest reason Lennie should not have been killed was because he was a major asset in the working force. That means he could have helped continue to bring in money towards the farm they dreamed about operating someday.
Regret is a horrible burden that hangs over all of us. In the novel Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, we see this theme frequently. The story starts with two men named George and Lennie who are best friends. George is a small slender man who although is scrawnier then Lennie he appears to be the brains of the two.

We stick together, we can see it through cause you've got a friend in me.” Justification: This song relates to the relationship George and Lennie had because even though Lennie was always getting in trouble, George was beside him no matter what. Also, when they got to the ranch, Slim said to them that is not common to see such good friends like George and Lennie, who travel together and look out for each other.
In the novella, Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, George’s decision to kill Lennie at the end of the novel was justified. George and Lennie were best friends, and have been since they were little. They got ran out of Weed(the old farm they used to work at) for harassing a girl and not letting her go. He was just scared from her screaming and kicking. He didn’t mean to harm, or scare her.
People today with mental disabilities are often criticized for not being “up to par” with everyone else in the world. This is true especially in the 1920’s, in which the novel Of Mice and Men takes place. Take Lennie Small for example, a large and hefty man, who has a mental disability. He, as a character, is blamed for the heinous act of murdering the antagonist’s wife, whose name is never revealed. It is true that Lennie does fracture her neck, but he does so without knowing.
Lennie is huge, sweet, caring, unsmart guy in the book. Steinbeck was successful at making Lennie sympathetic because he cares about everything and will always be there for George but other characters keep sizing up to him and he doesn’t know how to fight. Lennie is clueless, kind, but forgets things easily. Others say that Lennie is useless at his job and should stay with George at all times. Lennie likes to make trouble without even knowing what he is doing.
What is right and what must be done are two different concepts. Often times, life requires people to do what must be done in order to save themselves, or others, from negative consequences. The characters in John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men illustrate how people implement remorseful decisions with astute intentions to help ease the consequences for those they care about. Lennie is a sizable, amicable guy.
