War wages, darkness falls, and the people of the world light it on fire. Chaos runs rampant and order seems like an impossible reality. The world descends into anarchical madness without a visionary to be its saviour. This reality is one of dystopian and post-apocalyptic novels; it represents a world without social responsibility. A sense of social responsibility means that one acknowledges what they can do for the betterment of themselves and others. There is greater emphasis on what one can do for others because what is good for all is good for an individual. Social responsibility is about self sacrifice and social justice. A world devoid of this sense is fueled on madness and misery. True social responsibility requires peaceful action because it is necessary for the world to have a positive change. Violence is in human nature and is the method most humans use to solve their problems. Violence does create change; this change comes with a plethora of issues. Malcolm X was a foil to Dr. King in his technique to remove the social dogma. Where King chose peace; X chose violence. Malcolm believed that any means necessary were to be used to achieve equality. X attracted a following and attention to the movement, but his tactics did not win him the support of the government. Peaceful actions are not infallible. As with any method of protest there is still a risk to those who stand against an institution. Even with the peaceful protests done by King still resulted in the assaults and murders himself and his followers. What makes peaceful action better than violent action is that peaceful action is less likely to create added tension. Whatever one puts out to the world is given back tenfold. If one gives out kindness then it is repaid, the same can be said if one deals
