The monarch butterflies are considered to be one of the most beautiful of amongst butterflies. They are called the king of butterflies, hence the name monarch. The monarch butterflies go through four stages during one life cycle. The four stages of the monarch butterfly life cycle included the egg, the larvae, known as a caterpillar, the pupa, and the adult butterfly. They then migrate north and east in order to find a place to lay their eggs. Their eggs are laid on milkweed plants. The monarch butterflies are in danger of becoming extinct in the next 20 years due to partially to the loss of breeding habitat to human development and weather. Monarchs butterflies came migrate up to 4,000 miles between the Midwest and Mexico in the fall. However,
