Someone once expressed “Don’t let life happen to you, make life happen for you.” In other words, what I need to improve in my life is not going to happen just because. It’s going to happen because I have worked for it and I’ve changed my habits. Nobody is going to change my life for me. I have to take action for myself. In the spirit of New Years, I have made goals and plans. It’s a new year and it’s time to get out of my comfort zone and change my life for better. This fresh new year, I will drink more water, sleep less and eat no meat. How? Here’s how. Although I 've been eating meat all my life, I 'm going to change my everyday diet to no meat at all. The health authorities recommend eight 8-ounce glasses or half a gallon for a better visualization. As of now,I drink water about twice a week. I want to focus more, boost my immune system and have a better mood. I also want a better complexion and lose weight. Especially, I want to drink water to stay hydrated. I want my blood to flow better. Track season is on its way and I need to stay hydrated. Dehydration starts a while before it affects you. So, now is the time to start. Like many things, you need to start out small. Everyday, I 'm going to drink a quarter of a regular sized water bottle. Until I feel comfortable drinking that amount, I 'll start drinking half of the water bottle. Eventually, I will be able to drink a water bottle per day. If I succeed, I will keep increasing the amount until I drink half a gallon per day. There should be no day I go to sleep without having to drink water. I could also exchange my lemon-tea-flavored Snapple for a bottle of water. At the end, I could also be saving money.

Although dehydration, or loss of water from the body, is not a concern for many Americans, people who exercise without drinking, sick children and the elderly are susceptible to its effects. Affected individuals will experience thirst, headache, fatigue, and dizziness.
