My hero What is hero to you? A hero to me is a person who overcomes obstacles that almost everyone can't overcome, a person who does amazing things and is humble, a person who inspires people to do better or more than average and that is what my hero does for me. My hero is an amazing person with amazing talents.
Long ago, about 2000 years, when King Herod ruled Judea (now part of Israel), God sent the angel Gabriel to a young woman who lived in the northern town of Nazareth. The girl's name was Mary and she was engaged to marry Joseph. The Christmas Story - Gabriel visiting Mary The angel Gabriel said to Mary: 'Peace be with you! God has blessed you and is pleased with you.'
My personal Michigan hero is my seventh grade social studies teacher, Ms. Dokter. Though I am not a personal friend of hers, per say, she had a tremendous impact on my life. She made me laugh, told me that I could do whatever I put my mind to, and was an amazing educator. Seventh grade was tough for me at times. I was at a new school, and it seemed like everyone knew what they were doing except me.
My Michigan Hero “The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It’s not that we seize them, but that they seize us.” - Ashley Montagu. That quote is one of the best quotes that captures my hero. My hero, Dan McPartlin (my grandfather) has had it rough.
My Michigan Hero “You never know until you try” that 's what my brothers always tell me when they think I should try something new. My oldest brother Jacques is 23 years old and just graduated from Michigan State University and is now attending grad school, my second oldest brother Jaquil is 21 years old and is a Senior at Western Michigan and finally my third oldest brother Jessiah is 16 years old and is a junior in high school at Jackson High School. The reason my brothers inspire me is because they teach me new things that they learned. One way my brothers inspire me is they always motivate me to get better and are always confident in me. Ways they motivate me to get better is because they always tell me I can do better or they say they can do better than that.
By the way, when I say hero, I don’t mean someone with superpowers and a cape. I mean someone that helps people in need. A hero is a person that is always there for others, even if this hero doesn’t know the person. My dad is my Michigan hero because we are very similar, he is really smart, and he cares about his family. My dad is my hero because we are very similar.
Whether it’s sending me loving texts through out the day, or making my favorite meal after a long day, her worries and care for me never dies down.
My sisters and I have all had our problems dealing with mental health, and even substance abuse. She has always stayed by our side and was there to help when we couldn’t help
My Semi-Patriotic Role Model When I think of the word hero I think of someone who is kind, generous, forgiving, and an all around a good person. Although, I might say inspiration instead of hero, I 'd say my dad has the traits that fall into the category of being my Michigan hero. My dad comes from a, as you might say, different background. His mother, my grandmother, was in a physically abusive relationship. It sounds scary and most likely was.
Scott LaBarge’s essay “Heroes: Why Heroes are Important” is well written because he effectively uses pathos, logos, and karios when explaining heroes to his audience. When something goes wrong or we feel like we cannot continue, we could all use someone to step in and change our situation. Everyone needs a hero. LaBarge gives an excellent example from his high school days; Thoreau inspired him and became his hero. The high school period of one’s life is a difficult period.
Tones drop. Dad jumps into action. The engine growling, sirens blaring, dad jumps in the back of the ambulance. As it pulls away, I stand there in amazement, wonder, and awe, as my dad, who is my hero, puts his life on the line every day to save others. The humility, compassion and love of his job has intrigued me since I was five years old.
Problems that could stress me out for hours or even days, she fixes within minutes. And even while she has all of these things clouding her mind, she still manages to stay lighthearted and at ease. She takes control of situations and finds solutions that no other person could think of. She proves everyday that everything happens for a reason, and she deals with it, unbelievably. When something is thrown her way she catches it and throws it right back and amazes me every time.
Either it be physically or emotionally. The hero in your life may be someone who you love and trust and know will always be there for you in a time of need. A hero supports you, and assures you safety. The American heroes, or our soldiers, are great examples. They fight for not only our freedom, but for freedom and protection for their loved ones.
I am Kayla Dillbeck and I have one person and only one person who is my hero. Chelsea Kistler is my hero. She has inspired me in many ways and she has made one amazing point in my life. Okay so lets get this awesome paper inspiration on. Chelsea is my cousin.
She always does anything she can to ensure that I and everyone else in my family and her own friends are a safe and comfortable. She has also effected the way I have changed from the time I was a child to now. If she was not the person I know her to be then I guarentee that I would not be the same person I am today. When I was a child I did not care about the consistencies of things and now I understand that everything I do and change will end as something different.
