Art Contest
One of my perseverance achievements is entering the mayor holiday contests. The mayor holiday contest is a contest between school on creating a holiday card. At first, I had doubts about the holiday card, thinking that I could ever have a chance to win.
My first attempt at the mayor holiday card was in tenth grade at Bethel high school. At the beginning of the semester of art class, we first started on the mayor’s holiday card project. In my drawing class, my art teacher Mrs. Lehner discuss and explain, everything that is required for the project. The project was to create or find a place in Hampton that would represent the holidays. The objective of the project is creating a drawing, to illustrate what the holidays mean to

Even after I am finished everything I do a check on everything to see if everything was correct. My teacher Mrs. Lehner review and look at drawing, to receive any tips on my drawing. Even she believed that my work had potential, and saw it has a lot of detail. After drawing all of the buildings and detail to them, is putting the holiday ornaments in my work. By determining how tall and how long the Christmas tree was, I sketched a tree at the center of the Peninsula. Then around the corner of the buildings I drew circles around them representing Christmas light. Then down where the leafless tree is at, I repeated by drawing circle representing them as lights. Then after drawing everything, I get a micron drawing pen to outline the features and buildings. By using the micron pens It assists me with the small tiny detail that people cannot see. After finishing outlining the drawing with micron pen, the next thing is to put colors in the drawing. The tools for putting color: color pencils, markers, black sharpies, and using paint. With color pencils I had to use different colors, by blending them to match the exact color. Also I use markers on the big parts, that needed to be cleared. With the paint I use white paint to represent “snow” falling from the sky. The last step was using a black color pencil, to represent the night
Surprisingly, it appears that most villagers want the drawings to remain in tact. One of the reasons that it is difficult to read the emotions of the characters is that enthusiasm shown
Include some tinted cut around all your infant presents and also kept this down below each of the presents. Commonly you make use of the very same shade as just what the sex of the little one is actually. If the container is actually constructed around a kid usage could make use of child blue, or simply fuchsia for a female, however if no person makes certain exactly what the sex of the child is actually, usage can easily constantly to use yellowish, jasmine, or even occasionally you can easily locate a mix of shades, like fuchsia yet blue. All you need to have is actually some crystal clear cello to cover you little one container. If you select to cover the infant present container along with cello, design a cover of cello coming from the scroll, however do not reduce this as of.
There is a dominant grid-like pattern, which is offset by the circular forms of the two doorknobs. The rectangular panels are of nearly equal size, and are crowded by many small figures. The composition is very organized, but the variety of the individual scenes helps to create a much more natural appearance. This work is distinctive due to its combination of visual and narrative elements. The figures give a sense of naturalism, and stand on a visible ground line.
The medium was oil paint on a canvas, which had a good a effect on the tree. In grade 6 my class was shown a picture of the jack pine for landscape painting inspiration, once I saw it the image got stuck in my head. The colors collaborated where very interesting and the tree looked so realistic. Canadians should really know this famous piece because its transforming.
In regards to the fair’s construction site, Larson describes the air as “[smelling] of cut wood and Christmas” (145). The image created by this is that of Christmas and winter time when trees are being picked out, but in this situation, the diction is being used to describe a construction site. Construction is usually viewed as something negative, but with Larson’s word choice, it creates an image of an optimistic, jolly atmosphere. Most people are anxious towards Christmas, and the writer uses imagery to inflict the same excitement towards the building project. When describing the magnificence of the fair, Larson compares it to a “full blown rose” thereby bringing that image to the reader’s mind (239).
The project was meant to take you through history via statues and Houser wanted
On the piece of copy paper, students worked individually and as a whole class to create a concept map. The teacher candidate used a large poster board to create a concept map as well, allowing the students to offer their ideas. As the students and teacher candidate carried out a class discussion, the teacher candidate added boxes and lists to the concept map as the students followed along. On our concept map we included the three steps needed to draw a conclusion, with linking boxes with details and examples. Also, we included why a reader would draw conclusions from a text in a different box with linking boxes.
I could smell the distant sugar covered churros as we neared our local county fair, what a sight, there were countless games and rides to choose from. Hey, wait up Ash I said as she was already rushing over to the churro cart. She turned around and smiled and started running to the cart. Well, that basically summed up our relationship. Just as I was about to begin running someone grabbed my hand, I could already sense the enthusiasm from their hands.
The first half of the drawing is of our society. Humans have made huge leaps in scientific advancements in the past couple decades. When we use our intellect to explore and study the world, it gives us more insight into ourselves and how we came to be. I drew buildings
There is a relationship between public and private space that the entirety of this house teaters between. A space of almost half prospect and half refuge (Appleton). There are places for great social exchange in the dining room and living room. But there are also spaces for great introspection in front on the fireplace, in Edna’s Nook, along the bench in the front windows and in the porches. Even the back garage is sunken into the Earth.
One of the most-awaited moments of the year is right here once again. Dim neighborhoods are brightened by ghastly smiles of Jack-o '-lanterns in communities where the breeze is also slowly getting colder and the leaves that have fallen off of pines give each step a crunch. In a few days, children dressed like pirates, princesses, ghouls, and little monsters will be knocking on doors requesting goodies and several other goodies. Yet just before Halloween begins, you can delight the kids in your community by teaming up with several moms and dads and arranging a Halloween scavenger quest.
Georgia O’Keeffe’s ‘Deer Skull with Pedernal’, is an oil painting on canvas, 36” x 30 1/8”, completed in 1936. The painting shows iconic images of the southwestern United States, with a bleached deer skull and windblown pine tree in the foreground, and table top mountains in the background. O’Keefe made this painting on location in New Mexico, where she owned property that viewed the distant mesa named Pedernal. (MFA). Looking closely at the painting, the composition contains a tree that bisects the image in half vertically, with the tree appearing to extend beyond the top and bottom of the painting.
When you think of the Holiday season what is one of the first things that comes to mind? Do you imagine the smell of gingerbread cookies in the oven, the smell of pine trees in the living room, or maybe the sight of Christmas lights scattered around town? For me it was always my holiday choir concert like the one I attended by the SIUE choirs. The first choir to perform, was the Choral Society, they sang a total of six songs. This group was not my favorite however; I did enjoy their performance of Away in a Manger arraigned by Shaw/Parker in 2012.
The sound of birds chirping garishly outside my window, wakens me from a deep slumber. Opening my eyes, I see the morning sun’s rays illuminating my room. I’m longing for sleep to engulf me back into its warm embrace. My father ruins any hope of going back to sleep as he hollers upstairs that breakfast is ready. Standing up and doing a morning stretch is when I first smell it.
Everything happened last summer during vacation. Every year my family plans some wild, adventurous trip, and last year we were going to visit some of the states in the northeastern United States. The trip was going fine until we arrived at the state of New Hampshire. We were going to camp there for a few days, and that was when my parents announced that we were all going to climb Mount Washington. I was not too thrilled by this idea, in fact, I was relatively annoyed.
