What makes a hero, a hero? A hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. In fiction story's heroes always has a type of superpower; whether it is super strength or flying powers, a hero always has an evil enemy, a hero is always the good guy and saves the day, and a hero inspires most. Most real life people who can be heroes do have some qualities like a fiction character. A modern hero can be a good person who might save the day, a modern hero could also have evil enemies, and a modern hero can be inspirational. Any type of abuse is a bad thing. And when it happens to someone, they really need a hero; most likely someone who is inspirational to them and who knows where they are coming from. Well, Oprah Winfrey is one who went through many things as a child, including being molested and child abuse. Her family wasn't really supportive and helpful of her. “She decided to create a show that helped to provide therapy, not only to the guests appearing on that particular show, but also to those in the audience at home.”(Chamberlain) Oprah has created over 30 charities and has donated tons of dollars to those in need. She a popular person who is known for giving back to the community no matter how it has treated her. She has made a big impact to a lot of people who are in need. Because of her big impact on a lot of people around the world and her inspiration of the kind of person she is, oprah is a hero. She is a hero to the ones she has helped get up with all her donations. Although she doesn't have super strength or can't fly her inspiration she has and her ability to give back and make someone's day shows how she is a hero. She has impacted so mays people's life that she will “leave behind a legacy”(Mask) because of so many things she has
