Leslie, like you I was also surprised how I didn 't seem to have sufficient hours in the week to complete my commitment for my classes. I had to really pray and ask God to help me prioritize my time. Consequently juggling Family, Ministry, Work and my schooling seemed a little overwhelming. However this time management exercise helped me just to take a step back and make sure I had thing in the correct order of importance. Its refreshing to read of your experience, although there has been a little struggle and adjustments along the way, God is blessing you and you are able to be successful. God
While attending community college I had to work two jobs to pay for school in addition to going to school full time, at some points working consecutive weeks without any days off. With my mom being laid off while I was in college and financial aid unavailable, I had to find a way to fund my education. This experience not only enhanced my time management skills but also gave me a greater appreciation for education. Time management is a key skill I have learned and have had to apply in my life due to the time commitments I have outside of academics. Currently I am a member of Air Force ROTC, both the Vice President and a participant on the University of Washington boxing team, and I work part-time while going to school full-time.
It was August of 2010 when I first stepped foot into Mrs. Niven’s English classroom. Like every other sixth grader, I was a bit intimidated and nervous. But I could automatically tell that this was not going to be like the stereotypical elementary English class I had grown accustomed to. My suspicions were confirmed several weeks later, when she spontaneously decided to project an Alfred Hitchcock short film on the board.
To my Baxter and Rosie, I have had many great teachers in my life. Some were inspiring and encouraging, some inspirational and motivating, but there are no greater teachers than you both. You teach us of trust, kindness, stillness, silliness and love. Thank you for slowing me down, and for making time speed by. For bringing me back down to the ground, and for raising me up into the clouds.
Loving, caring, unselfish and hardworking are only a few of the many powerful words I can use to describe my mentor, Joyce M. I know some people might have experienced what she has been through but nobody is standing as tall as she is today. As we all grow up and age we change mentally and physically. At this point in life I was only about 7 years old. Tall and skinny about 4’5 average with dirty brown hair and dark brown eyes, I was an Emotional but strong minded normal elementary school girl.
5 years had passed since the whole Jessica Feeney thing. We 've elected a new (real) president, I 've become better friends with Courtney, and I 'm finishing my last year at high school. I plan on going to college to be a general surgeon despite hearing all those stories from Jeff. Jeff was liar right? I mean, now that I 've finished 4 years of grueling high school I know the smart people words for what Jeff and my 7th grade class did to Jessica.
“I love helping others, making people feel good in anyway makes my day brighter.” That’s a statement I have heard my mother, Patricia, say plenty of times. Patricia is a very patient, caring, and loving woman. She has and will put everyone else’s needs before her own. There are not many days when she does not have a smile on her face no matter what is going on.
My name is Raquel. I was born in Brazil the fifth largest country in the world. Portuguese is the official language. I am a senior student at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights. I am a curious person who loves to read books, learn about wine, and travel the world.
I first met Kelsey when the two of us joined cross-country the summer before our freshman year. Back then, I never would have guessed that we would end up being such close friends. I am so glad we did. Kelsey is an inspiration to be around, filling any atmosphere with positivity. Even in the toughest situations, the hardest cross-country workouts, Kelsey is able to bring out the fun in a situation.
Alana. One of the first friends that I ever made use to be a girl named Alana. When I first moved into the neighborhood where I currently live now, Alana shouted “hi” to me from across the street and I considered her to be my friend for a while. Most of the time, the friends I made did not last that long. All of my previous friendships only lasted for a few months or a year at most.
“ It seems no matter which way I go, I turn into my past Some way or another It bothers me terribly I just want to move on with my life” This quote resonates with me has an individual. Because Some days nothing seems to go right, no matter how hard I try. I’ve done almost everything I can do to start my process of healing and getting the help I need to move and become the person I was meant to be. A happy , goofy , outgoing and caring person. However There’s always something in my life that will hold me back from moving on.
Since my schedule includes honors classes, clubs/organizations, and participation in community service my time exists as very limited. When it comes to asking questions I do so, but only when the teacher is available. When assignments need to be turned in, I always turn them in on time. I rarely ever turn in an assignment in late unless I’m not caught up with my nursing homework. I’ve attended all of my classes besides two Saturdays that were excused by Ms. Cunningham.
I was so unaware that most of my work would be online along with in class instruction and most assignments would be due at same time. Also, the discussion boards were a thing that would be graded. So, trying to handle five classes; two online and three in the class, has been a challenge. The final challenge has been the hardest, which is spending time taking care of my grandchildren. I have custody of them and there is never enough
The professor I chose to interview is called Ms. Gina Flowers. She is serving in the department of English and humanities but also research strategies for the first time this semester. This is a professor I had the chance to have in two different occasions and I always wanted to know a little more about her experiences in this domain since she taught for so many years. Dialogue Abdoulaye –“Ms. Flowers, for how long have you been teaching?”
PERSUASION & PRESSURE It was not hard for him to recall how he met what he would later call the love of his life. Regardless of all of the times he had tried in vain to forget the amatory recollections, all of the nefarious glasses of wine he had imbibed in attempts to wash away the taste of her cherry lipstick, or all of the lines he had drawn to stay away from every inch of her. He could not abscond the sillage of her Chanel N°5 that always lingered after her departure, nor could he ever fail to remember the emanation of her Marlboro Red’s that stay stuck to her clothes like last night's affairs. Every word that tumbled from her deceitful lips was etched into his mind and written twice over. Every sigh that cascaded from her sunken mind
Coming Again How did you feel when you back to you back to your family from long time period? I returned back to my community after many years of being away at school and seeing my family again is very depressing and missing all this things. To start, I returned back to my family when I see my family I felt excited. But, then when I see my family and I look myself I look so different. All my friends and family have long hair but, I don’t have long a hair anymore.
