With the attack on Planned Parenthood and regarding the video scandal which blew Planned Parenthood in the spotlight once again, is the problem its self that checking the facts are number one. People are so quick to see a video about an unborn child and act, without checking the facts. With Planned Parenthood they do perform abortions, yes but safe legal abortions they do use tissue and organs from these abortions to do lifesaving scientific research they also don’t mention in the video that the patients and the woman and families they make the decision to donate the fetal tissue, for research “this research should be honored not attacked and demeaned. “ What the facts don’t show in this edited video, which actually the video is over three
Planned Parenthood is more than just an abortion clinic When people think of Planned Parenthood, their mind goes straight to abortion. Americans believe that all Planned Parenthood does is perform abortions, which is a very flawed misconception. The non-profit organization does a lot more than that, they promote safe sex, prevent unplanned pregnancies, provide preventive care and screening for cervical and other cancers. I think that it’s important that we continue funding Planned Parenthood because without it women in America will be left without important resources.
Coloradoan Anti-Abortionist to be charged with Terrorism The police in Colorado is thinking of charging a man, named Dear, with terrorism. Dear have been talking incoherent things about ‘baby parts’ after being arrested and is said to be a very strong anti-abortionist. Dear has been arrested few days back for barging in Planned Parenthood clinic armed and then suddenly opening fire.
The movie we watched in the class “the last abortion clinic” is definitely relevant in this situation. This movie connects the dots from Roe v Wade, which allowed states to regulate abortion so long as they did not place an "undue burden" to the Planned Parenthood v. Casey (the pro-life movement has dramatically changed the landscape of abortion politics). It
Therefore, logically, these services should not be shut down for purely religious reasons. Yet even so, Warren clarifies that the organization at its simplest supports a women with “wrenching, intimate, and private medical decisions” such as PAP tests, cancer screenings, and much more. With such conviction, it is clear that decisions made at Planned Parenthood are very personal, private, and important matters that could save a woman’s life. Denying a woman access to this life changing medical assistance found at Planned Parenthood would be exceedingly unreasonable and unjust. In particular, Planned Parenthood continues to be an obvious example of a helpful and truly good association through all its services including helping mothers and their babies with “prenatal care, better infant nutrition, head-start classes, and medical research on medical abnormalities. . . .”
Margaret Sanger, who is she, I know the name does not seem to ring a bell to you, but if you are a woman who has faith for the rights to have access to birth control, you should get to know this rebel leader. This brave woman is one of the most prominent leaders for all women universally, the creator of birth control and the founder of Planned Parenthood. One of her most controversial quotes is “that the most merciful thing that a large family can do to one of its infants is to simply end its life” (Flaherty 26). The statement is simple, but in many ways it has received a number of different responses from the people. What then is the impact of her ideas?
(Crisco, 2013) Planned Parenthood communicated the situation to their public, by email and social media. The non-profit sent an email to supporters about the funding cut from Komen and asked for funds to replace the money Komen covered for breast cancer screenings. Within hours, Komen’s choice to defund Planned Parenthood was trending on social media sites Twitter and Facebook. People we’re outraged at Komen’s decision, which appeared politically motivated. Debates on pro-choice vs. pro-life, and boycotts of the cancer association roared on social platforms.
Imagine the long-term savings realized by communities around the country, produced by cutting over inflated Planned Parenthood

I think what Bernie Sanders is trying to say here is quite clear. He’s simply saying that he never expected to receive endorsements from these organizations because they are part of the Democratic establishment. He’s not saying he wants to “take on” Planned Parenthood, like Hillary Clinton would like you to think. He’s just keenly aware of the fact that the Democratic party and Hillary Clinton have strong ties to these organizations which, in-turn, lead them to endorse the establishment Democratic candidate (Hillary Clinton) for president. Bernie Sanders is in no way resentful of these endorsements.
Moriah Adams October 28, 2015 Current Events Paper Planned Parenthood Executive Harvesting Baby Body Parts An upsetting video was released recently that features comments from Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services, where she was describing how some doctors conduct abortions in order to leave fetal body parts in tact so that they can be harvested and sold. Actors were placed in a meeting with this doctor using hidden cameras to capture what she and her practice were doing behind closed doors. The woman was shockingly flippant about the whole subject and spoke of unborn babies, organs and body parts as if it is nothing more than a business strategy.
Many people would argue the fact that tax payers’ money should not fund Planned Parenthood. They think it’s against their religion or morals to have abortions; they believe
Should Planned Parenthood have their funding taken away because of a common practice. Many people are against abortions and do not want their tax dollars going towards killing a life. What about politics? Should they play a role? Of course politics do play a role in it when comes to this topic.
Planned Parenthood gave women the belief that they had control and a right over their own bodies and it was their choice to do as they please with it, which was groundbreaking ideal of its time. In an age that women where a property of either their fathers or of their husbands, who established complete control over these women, Planned Parenthood was an organization that went against these common practices. Margaret Sanger, creator of Planned Parenthood, wanted to change the most common practice of “‘breeding’ too many children” (Shaw 38) out of women even if they did not want them. Sanger, being such a progressive, feminist, had a series of ideal that dealt with the empowerment and rights of women in a way never seen before. So her desire to create a team to offer women, who she saw as trapped within the patriarchy, was understandable.
This was the first legislation to criminalize an abortion procedure since the Roe v. Wade ruling. The law forbade the procedure, even if a woman's health was endangered, forbade doctors to recommend an abortion, even if it is medically appropriate to protect the health of the woman, required prison terms and financial penalties for doctors who performed abortions, and allowed male partners or parents to sue the woman if she had the procedure. ‘March for Women's Lives’ took place on April 25, 2004, and was the largest and most diverse pro-choice demonstration in history. Planned Parenthood played a leadership role in organizing the event. More than one million Americans gathered in Washington, D.C. to protest the new policies created by George W. Bush.
