The novel, Run away Devil, is about a 12 year old girl named J.R who was driven by forbidden love to kill her family in order to be with her boyfriend. J.R along with her boyfriend Steinke, murdered J.R 's family but Steinke claimed that it was J.R alone who slit young Jacob 's throat. J.R is the youngest Canadian to ever be convicted of multiple homicides. With such brutal murder and such planning it was the ruling that surprised me the most. Since J.R was under the age of 14, she could not be tried as an adult.

A little after the war had started, a couple Dakota broke into her house capturing her daughter and her daughter’s baby, and killing her other grandchild, Thomas Brooks, her son-in-law, and her son-in-law’s father. Both Alice and Rosalind picked up from UC Santa Cruz and shot not far from the campus on February 5, 1973. It was between these killings in February and April that Ed decided that he had to stop this killing cycle, but he said that he had to kill his mother in order to make it end (Interview 1984). Four unlucky girls were killed in the blast. 14-year-old Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson, and 11-year-old Denise McNair. The girls were in the ladies restroom in the basement talking about their first days of the school year when the blast killed them. 10-year-old Sarah Collins was in the basement restroom with the other girls when the bomb went off, but she only lost her right eye. After the bombing, Martin Luther King Jr. spoke out to 8,000 people at three of the little girls funerals, while the other girl’s family held a smaller private service.
News Center 7 was sure to get the whole ordeal on camera, covering the entire story of the 16 year old girl who rolled her car because of a spider. Last year my psychology teacher informed me that my wreck had even made the news in Florida! The event that put my small town on the map is still a prominent story discussed whenever anything spider-related is brought up. Of all the reasons a person could earn notoriety, a wreck involving a spider isn’t exactly the most glamorous, but I own it. In the grand scheme of things it could have been worse.

Early in my year of research I came across a book written by Blanche Barrow, Clyde 's sister-in-law, which detailed her year on the run with the pair and her life after she was arrested. In the book a Bonnie and Clyde historian wrote down a detailed timeline starting with Clyde 's birth in 1909 and ending with Blanche 's death in the 80 's. This helped me put together a map of where the pair went on their two years as gangsters. While the map is slightly incomplete as only Clyde would know every single place the notorious Barrow Gang traveled, a good part of the places they went are accounted for in my map and the
