In my dream last night, I asked God this question, “Lord, how many times can I live in this world?” Then He responded, “Son, I am only giving each and every person a chance to live once in this world”. And then I asked, “Why just one life my Lord? If you could give me at least three chances to live in this world, I would have more time to correct my mistakes.” Then God said, “Your goal in this world is to live once in order to give chance to others who maybe better than you”.
My fellow Toastmasters, good evening! Let me share to you my personal point of view on how we can weave our past, present and future in order to make use of the short life that we have on Earth and turn it to something that God can be proud of by utilizing our God-given

One technique that I use to plan for my life is to plot my life’s journey timeline in a big spreadsheet showing the different accomplishments in the past, present and the plans for the future. To live once means giving more importance to what you want your life to achieve. One way to give value to your life is to plot a timeline of your journey just like an autobiography. But, unlike an autobiography, a “ timeline” not your facebook timeline but a life journey timeline which can show us the big picture of what we want to achieve in the coming years till the end of our life. My fellow toastmasters, I’m going to tell you what all things include in l life journey timeline. a life journey timeline has six major …show more content…

Celebration of Old Age (COA) – this is the time from POR to EOL wherein you are just waiting to die and at the same time enjoying the fruits of your labor maybe thru your family or touring around the world or helping other people.
End of Life (EOL) – is the ideal time your life will end (i.e., death). Of course, no one knows when we will die. But, I believe God can give us enough time as long as we pray for it. As shown in my astronomy according to these astrologers my death age is 86 years and I don’t believe that but I know death will come one day.
My fellow toastmasters, I have just shared to you what all stages are in lifeand my personal point of view on how important it is to live once because we live only oce and its in our hands how to utilize the time in our life*. To end my speech, I truly believe that we will only live once- but if we work it right, once is
There is not enough time to waste in the world without completing something, and there is not enough time in the world to keep failing. However, there is enough time in the world to achieve that dream, goal, and opportunity before the clock is
Americans are living too long. They are trying to prolong life and delay death. One such person, Ezekiel Emanuel wrote "Why I Hope to Die at 75," and he argues that living too long is a loss (1). He is stating that he does not like this trend. Emanuel does not hope to extend his life as long as possible.
The Kenyon Commencement Speech After we graduate from high school the most common thought that we have is going into the adult world. Some of us don’t even have a clue on what the real world is about. It’s not all about testes, quizzes or exam; it’s either we get or we don’t. This speech is basically about the decision we make in our lives and we act on these decisions.
Rough draft Aphorisms and Tuesday's With Morrie An aphorism is a simple and consist saying that proposes truth or opinion Since Tuesdays with Morrie was about an older man who was a college professor, living after being diagnosed with Als. Tuesday's with Morrie was full of aphorism that were about living your life to the fullest since that was one thing that Morrie not only did, but believed that everyone should do. Morrie was content with what he had and believed no matter how much or how little you had, if you didn't take the time to enjoy the ones you love or the ones that love you, you weren't living. One aphorism that I believe relates to me and the story is "there is no such thing as too late in life".
I am a pioneer! My pioneer story isn’t your average Latter Day Saint pioneer story, as far as historical LDS stories go! I was raised by goodly parents, I was born and raised in Spokane Washington. I am the youngest of three children born to Jim and Shannon Newell. My brother James is the oldest and four years older than myself.
Walking into graduation, every graduate expects to hear the same speech with little variance about reaching an important milestone in life but still having many more milestones. Paul Hawken delivered a different message with his commencement address, You Are Brilliant and the Earth Is Hiring. His message was filled with hope for the future since people are working together to build a better world for all. Hawken begins with, “Humanity is coalescing.
Personal Statement A human being has one life and one life only. The older I get the more I realize how precious my time is. An old friend of mine a mechanical engineer who has lived through the prime of his life reflected back on some marvelous experiences he had as a child where his parent would take him every week to watch the trains go by.
If you live forever there will have no point to do great and amazing things in life and there will be no time when you will be proud of what you have done because you could do the same things
Steve Jobs’ assertion, “ Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart,” is valid because by remembering that in the end, we will all die. We should not contain our way of thinking and how we want to live life. By remembering that life is short, our minds will begin to think differently and perceive life differently.
An individual should live his or her life to the broadest and celebrate each time in life before their
Jobs, Steve. " Steve Jobs's 2005 Stanford Commencement Address.” I agree with this because what Steve is saying is true, death is all of our final destination for everyone and no one has escaped it. So we must all take chances in life and hope for the best and not worry about the “cons” in life and focus more on the
Hence, a person should live day by day because any day might be their last. When a person is older, they want to look back on what they accomplished and not on what they could have accomplished. People do not want to look back to the past and regret that they did not take the time to pursue an opportunity. They want to look back on the things they did and be proud to tell about the things they achieved. One should spend their day living, at all times.
In life, there is always going to be something that one needs to learn; things such as yourself, other people, or the environment around you, pretty much the of do’s and don’t of life. During your journey, you are the ultimate ruler of what happens and what does not happen, but along the way, people will try to guide you and give you the best advice that they can. This is what Steve Jobs did during his commencement speech; he took what he knew life had taught him and tried to teach others about the best life one can live. After listening to the full commencement speech, one can see that Jobs wants us to live our life the way we would like to, and to make sure it’s lived to the fullest. During his speech, Jobs made an emphasis on three big ideas: You can’t connect the dots looking
Eventually our life will come to an end, but it does not have to end there. We can be remembered for, similarly to the nightingale, a
I believe people over think this question too much, I mean I get it, the question itself is vague and arises other questions. Even the word "meaning ", makes you think. But if we mean "the purpose of life. Then to me it 's not complex at all.
