Criminal Profiling Paul Bernardo was born in Scarborough (in Ontario Canada) in 1964. He was the youngest of three kids. His father was charged with a life sentence for peeping and pedophilia and was abusive to the family as well as molesting Paul's sister. His mom was depressed and eventually moved into the basement. Paul as a kid seemed unaware of his broken family and was reported as a happy child, but also had an irresistible urge to start fires while he was a Boy Scout at ten years old.
Destinys and Decisions “You are always only one decision away from a totally different life”(Unknown). Your destiny can be such a fragile thing, you slide between the path of success and the path of failure daily with the decisions you make. Often when you make a bad decision you are give a second chance. And these decisions and chances all lead up to your destiny.
There are arguably many themes in the book Just Mercy. The author and/or the protagonist, Bryan Stevenson, shows perseverance through his work-packed life, possibly the book is telling people to push through for a good outcome. Other parts of the book focus on racial issues of the south, maybe the theme is about the indifferences for minorities. Some chapters elaborate on the lives of wrongfully imprisoned people, or people under cruel and unusual punishment. The book's theme could be the mistreatment of prisoners.
This novel highlights the fact of the injustices people of color are faced with in everyday life. In the introduction of this book, Michelle Alexander highlights the criminal justice system and how rather than identifying people by their race, people of color are labeled as criminals. I believe the criminal justice system, racial caste, ideology, and global examples of racial caste are all connected to racial inequality. I feel that the race and criminal justice system are connected on the basis that people of color are seen as unequal when compared to Caucasians. In the reading the author provides good examples of how officers are well trained at defending against claims of racial bias in policing.
The article “On Punishment and Teen Killers” written by Jennifer Jenkins is an article with very weak ethos. The author argues that teens who commit heinous crimes should receive life without the possibility of parole and that the victims rights should be considered. The author is a victim of a crime committed by a teen, her pregnant sister was brutally murdered by a teen gunman who wanted to “see what it felt like to shoot someone” (2). By bringing her sister into the paper the author lowers her credibility because she is emotionally connected to the case and has an obvious biased opinion. This leads to the readers to question her reliability on an unbiased opinion in the article.

The Licensee was arrested in West Plains, MO. He was then held in the Sebastian County Jail in Ft. Smith, Arkansas under federal jurisdiction.
Analysis of "More God Less Crime." In the book More God Less Crime the author focuses on a central topic of how faith based institution and individuals can aid in reducing crime in society. The book stresses that these new faith based policies can implement a life long lifestyle change. In our society today, there are many dangerous problems we face from false imprisonment to youth violence.
In the article “On Punishment and Teen Killers” by Jennifer Jenkins, the author shares her thoughts on teen killers and their lives after committing crimes. Throughout the article she also goes through the analysis of the punishment. To summarize, Jenkins starts off by sharing a quote that also shares her opinion on how people act on their own whether they’re influenced or not. As the article goes on she includes her personal experience on how a teen killer murdered her family where she also reveals that she is biased. With research that she might’ve done she implied and backed up the idea that crimes aren’t on impulse sometimes.
The Culprit: Philip Malloy On March 28, a student by the name of Philip Malloy is disrespectfully singing the “Star- Spangled Banner.” The teacher the student had at this time, Miss Margaret Narwin, did her job and asked Malloy to stop. When this incident occurred the following day Malloy is asked to see the assistant principal, Dr. Joseph Palleni, Dr. Palleni gave Malloy a warning. The same incident happened the next day, again, Philip Malloy is sent to Dr. Palleni’s office.
LOWELL -- Moments after convincing a distraught Jeff Childs to stop a bloody knife attack on Childs' ex-girlfriend, Troy Abel relaxed a bit. He knew police were on their way. "(Jeff) shook my hand and he dropped the knife. I thought it was over," said Abel, a boyfriend of Childs' niece.
Chapter three and four continues with Mr. McMillian being arrested based on Ralph Myers’s allegation. Mr. Myers’s claimed that he is afraid of Mr. McMillian. The officers saw that as an opportunity to slander Mr. McMillian reputation by suggesting he has sexual assaulted Mr. Myers. In the day that Mr.McMillian was arrested the officer who was arresting him was unprofessional by reason of using racial slurs and threats during the arrest. Mr. McMillian was under the impression of being arrested for those allegation although the police only question him about the murder of Ronda Morrison.
In the last twenty years, violence has increased leaving communities with the fear of what’s going to happen next. During the prime time news, we can get inform about what’s happening around the world. We hear about wars, violence, crime, murders, earthquakes, and other disasters around the world. Nowadays, TV shows and movies are more about crimes and violence, which are based on real life in some way. TV shows such as Criminal Minds represent the FBI team as brilliants investigators that capture skillful serial killers.
CHAPTER IV DEFENSE MECHANISM IN “HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER SEASON 1” 4.1. Intrinsic Aspect 4.1.1. Theme How to Get Away with Murder is an American televison series that portrayed an unpleasant experience of Annalise Keating, Keating’s five, Bonnie and Frank. The theme of this tv series can be seen in the title which is How to Get Away with Murder. HGAM mostly tells us about how people that I have mentioned before have to face the reality and have to escape from murder that connects with them.
Finally, I would like to look at a podcast called Serial. The first season of Serial follows the murder of a high school senior Hae Min Lee in 1999. After searching for six weeks, her body is found buried in the local park. Her ex-boyfriend, Adnan, is arrested and charged with her murder. However, Sarah Koenig, host of Serial, believes there is something fishy about the case from the start.
