The documentary film “The Harvest/La Cosecha” is based on migrant agricultural child labor. In some countries, children work 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. One of those countries is the United States of America. Every year there are more than 400,000 American children who are torn away from, their friends, schools and homes to pick the food we all eat. The film has three main characters being Victor who is a 16-year- old boy, and two girls who are Zulema (age 12) and Perla (age 14).Out of those 400,000, three of them are Victor, Zulema, and Perla. Throughout the documentary it gives you a view about how migrant families live and all the obstacles they encounter and how they overcome them.

Considering this, she doesn't have a strong foundation based on her future and dreams she would like to achieve. While in the other hand, for Victor and his family their migration journeys being in Quincy, Florida there where they are picking tomatoes. For Victor his family is the inspiration and they will always be his inspiration because he does not want to see them suffer. He knows what they have been through and is ready to change not just his life, but theirs as well. Victor is his little sisters’ role model and the one held responsible since his other sisters are still back in Mexico. He is very joyful for his sisters knowing that they are attending school. In school he knows that they will at least eat and have air condition. While in the other hand, there are days when migrant workers don’t even eat, much less have air conditioning. For him, he realized his parents were struggle and decided that he want to help them out as well which is why he goes to the fields to earn roughly around sixty dollars a day. In the same way Perla also has a difficult journey, but for Perla her journey beings in Weslaco, Texas. Although Perla does attend school, but has to migrant as well she never really creates strong
