Casey Anthony was born on March 19, 1986, in Warren, Ohio. Anthony was the child of Cindy and George Anthony. She was one of two children. Growing up Anthony was described as the “typical girl”. Her friends report her as being a lively and enjoyable person. The one thing that stood out in her high school years was her untruthful story telling. Towards the end of Casey Anthony’s senior year she was falling short on her high school credits. Despite the lack of credits, she convinced her family that she would walk otherwise. Another surprise appeared in 2005, Casey Anthony was pregnant. Her parents suspected the pregnancy due to unexpected weight gain. Anthony claimed that she was a virgin for months into her pregnancy. In June of 2008, Casey left with Caylee after a heated argument with her mother. This was the last reported sighting of Caylee Anthony. Cindy Anthony reported that she would call many times to check on Caylee but, she was always with the babysitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. On July 13, 2008 a letter was received to Anthony’s parents saying that her car was in a tow yard. When Anthony’s parents went to retrieve the car, her dad said the car smelt like decaying matter. Casey Anthony was found by her mother at her new boyfriend’s house. When Cindy Anthony asked where her granddaughter was Casey Anthony broke down. Casey continued to tell her mother that the babysitter had kidnapped Caylee over a month ago. Casey Anthony did not report the kidnapping of her daughter to officials. Later into the investigation the babysitter was found to be made up. In the days before Caylee Anthony was reported missing, Casey Anthony was partying and got a new tattoo. On July 22, 2008, Casey Anthony was arrested for child neglect. Chunks of Caylee Anthony’s hair was found in the back of the trunk, bail is set for $500,000.
