My ambition is to become a primary school teacher and I firmly believe that in order to work in education it is the desire to help and assist children in achieving their best. Working in education can be tough and challenging, which is one of the reasons that I really love about working in this profession. During my education, I enjoy all subjects such as Physical education, History, Science and lots more which as a primary school teacher you teach all subjects to children, and this is another reason I am applying for the course as I like the variety and everyday is different. This course appealed to me as I feel this course will allow me to gain experience, increase confidence and study alongside working in my current primary school.
I feel that I have the great qualities for this course as I have always enjoyed working in education, helping children achieve their full potential and enjoy watching the children grow and develop. Whilst completing my teaching assistant qualification, I gained knowledge on children's development, teaching strategies and behaviour management. At my apprenticeship placement, I worked across all KS1 classes which this gave me the opportunity of different ways to communicate to the children, how to support children in their subjects and it increased my knowledge and confidence. Whilst studying for my teaching assistant qualification

For over twenty years I was a Nursery Nurse who developed professionally by undertaking different roles within my school, attending courses to help me reach my full potential, but now I feel that I need to do more for the children and the families in my care. I have a vision of what I want to achieve and provide as a fully qualified teacher.
When I looked further into it, the career that interested me the most was Teacher Assisting. Being a teacher’s assistants meets what I value through having a good workplace, since I get to work with kids and it is something I love to do. There would be a sense of accomplishment seeing all when a child finally gets something that they are struggling on and the innovative challenge of coming up with new ways to present the same information so that each student gets the concept. In order to be in this career field I would need to have the abilities of oral comprehension and expression as well as be able to speak clearly and understand what someone is saying when they speak to me. Being in this career field means I would be supervising children in distinct places around the school environment.
The decision to enter a profession that has the potential to affect hundreds of lives of children each year should not be taken lightly. One must make sure they are ready for the challenges and responsibilities as well as the joys of humour entering the profession” (Hembree, 2013). Some actions that might ensure that we don’t lose sight of the commitments that we once made as new educators entering the profession would be to maintain an emotional commitment and have a lot of patience. “Great teachers’ emotionally commit to their subject matter and students daily. Teaching can feel incredibly rewarding when things go well
Personal Goal Statement I have been an educator for two years and plan to spend many more years in the classroom. My professional goals as an educator is to continue to grow and develop as an educator, make a difference in children’s lives, and be able to advocate for all children to have a fair access to a quality of education. This Master’s program will help me shape these goals by providing rigorous instruction with intention on focusing on how learning is taught and crafted during the 21st century. Being a young educator myself and teaching 4th and 5th graders these past couple of years, I understand how important it is to not only craft engaging lessons but tweak and keep critiquing your lessons based on student data.
Personal Statement I come from a large family with relatives from a little ranch in Chihuahua, Mexico. Many of which have never made it past grade school. Mainly due to their mother, my grandma, she had fallen very ill. Due to her condition and lack of money my aunts and uncles dropped out of school to work and help pay for her medication and medical expenses. The older siblings had to take care of the younger siblings.
I am interested in pursuing a degree as it will help me gain a deeper understanding of this field and enhance my leadership skills. As a newly promoted mentor teacher, I am keen on improving my knowledge and expertise in early childhood education. My goal is to become proficient in higher education and help aspiring teachers gain the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful in their careers. Working as a mentor teacher within the field of early childhood education is important to me because it provides me with the opportunity to inspire and motivate educators I work with. Being a Mentor Teacher will allow me to share my experiences, knowledge, and skills with the teachers I work with.
Reflecting on my educational and practical experiences, I appreciate the infinite influence that teachers have on children. I realise that children will take the skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom and use it throughout their lives. I know a teacher has to deal with many daily pressures and challenges, in the classroom. However, I feel I require the skills needed to deal with these challenges. As a teacher I hope not only to be an educator but a positive role model, whom the children can look up to and trust.
After carefully considering my skills, interest, and values; I have decided my first choice of career plan would be to become a Kindergarten teacher. I am suitable for this job because I would like to work with children. I can help children that need help and want every child to be safe. Being a teacher comes with a lot of responsibilities and skills that I need to learn. The responsibilities that I will have are to create lesson plans, observe students, grade students' assignments, and prepare students for state assessments.
All skills apart from the academic ones which are important to being a good teacher and demonstrates my willingness to go the extra mile. Studying and working in education has shown me that it is a challenging and rewarding career, but I believe my track record of dedication and hard work in both elements suggests that I can meet its demands. My commitment to providing a first-rate education for any child has seen me strive to gain as many additionally useful skills as
By teaching in a school to gain experience, I feel that I have planned and organised lessons that run smoothly. My main strengths lie at the higher end of the mathematics specification as I have an advanced mathematical background obtained
I am pursing a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about education and excited to share the joy of learning with students. The perspective of wonder and sense of excitement that children bring into education motivates me daily. Teaching can leave a lasting impression in a child’s life and offers a special opportunity to shape the bright young minds of future generations. While many professions can be impactful, I believe the qualities of the person in the career position to be the most influential.
Training for personal development can be very beneficial to you and the school. It is an opportunity to gain further knowledge and skill which enables you to adapt to your changing role and duties. Teaching assistants can be moved from helping in a year 6 class to reception age. The role would vary greatly and you may be given training in order to meet the expectations they would have of you. - being firm but fair with the children.
Throughout the past 5 years, I have built a successful career as an educator. I am more than willing and able to teach in areas outside of HaSS and take on a variety of roles within your school. My own educational background places me in a unique position to do so. I started my journey to become in a teacher in 2012 when I enrolled in a Graduate Diploma of Education (Primary) at Edith Cowan University. During my final practicum placement in a Year 3 class I realised that I was more suited to teaching middle school and secondary students, so I decided to enrol in the Master of Education (Secondary) program at UWA. However I completed all of the core curriculum units in the Gradate Diploma including Art, Music, P.E., Health, Mathematics, Science, English as well as HaSS, for year 1-7. Throughout both my Graduate Diploma and my Masters of Education degrees I have developed strong knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogical requirements across a range of learning areas and would enjoy the challenge of adapting this pedagogical knowledge to a years 8 – 10
Personal Statement I believe that each child is unique and that all diversities should be accepted and empowered. Teaching students that everyone is different and that these differences should be welcomed and not judged provides for a safe and welcoming environment in a school and classroom setting. I also believe that students should be able to come to their teachers as well as faculty with their thoughts and feelings. Students should feel empowered, and we should push students to become advocates for their education and teach to each students’ abilities. Education is crucial in pushing students towards higher education after school as well as providing the stepping stones to prepare students for jobs in the real world.
