My amazing African Vacations and life time memories
South Africa has always been on my list of the top five favorite places to visit. As a travel enthusiast, I’ve been to the wilderness and luxury of many beautiful countries including Europe, America, UK, Ireland, France, India, and much more. This time, however, I along with few of my friends was determined to explore the Africa in its full glory.
Our 2 weeks African vacations were nothing short of most awe-inspiring holidays and allowed us to gather the lifelong memories to cherish. The beautiful continent of Africa has been touched by varied cultures from around the world and is one of the few places on Earth where you can have a truly wholesome and enriching experience.

The place is known for its rich cultural offerings and gorgeous sights. One of the main highlights of our visit was the Galley MOMO, a place that showcases the contemporary artists from all over the world.
Shark diving and whale watching South Africa
One of the unique experiences of our African vacations was the exhilarating tour to the Great White Shark Diving & Whale watching to Gansbaai, starting and ending in Cape Town. We started the tour with exploring the South Africa's top shark and whale watching region to going for shark cage diving on a spacious, custom-built shark diving boat. It is one of the great white shark diving destinations in the world and should not be missed during African Vacations. We had some of the most thrilling as encounters with the great white whales in their own underwater territory.
To add to our adventure, we enjoyed the whale watching boat tour from Gansbaai to Pearly Beach, Dyer Island and Geyser Rock. Gansbaai is a popular place as it is the home to the Marine Big Five including the whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, and penguins and should definitely be the part of your next African safari vacations for an unforgettable experience of the abundant marine animals in its full
Within Ellis Island by Joseph Bruchac, On Being Brought from Africa to America by Phillis Wheatley, and Europe and America by David Ignatow there are different views of what the American Dream is and what it means to immigrants. Each author writes about their own experience of immigration and life in America, which shapes their view of the American dream. The common theme between the three poems is the variable nature of the American dream and how it has different meanings for each person coinciding with contradictions between leisure and suffering.
Many of those who were ripped from their homelands, dreamt of returning home to their families. After emancipation, the young Africans regrouped and found their own settlement once their dreams of returning home could not become a reality. In “Africa Town” the Clotilda Africans made a living through agriculture and trade techniques that they brought from Africa. This clearly shows, that Africans held on to their traditions unfailingly. “Africa Town,” was founded upon indigenous African cultures and a form centralized state systems.
The African Background Outlined had a significant impact on the field of African
It is also a story of intercultural marriage, the foreign population of Addis Ababa in the early 1970s, and a descriptive narrative of the early years of the Ethiopian revolution. The book keeps repeating the descriptions of ritual and village life, rural travel, problems for women in a society
“The bloom fell off the African rose fairly early.” This sentence, wounded my heart straightway, as I could not envision to see the kids suffering from the poverty. Many
For it was not only a voice of gold, but it was the voice of a man whose heart is golden, reading from a book of golden words”(Paton123). Through this passage, Paton showcases the full power of Msimangu’s voice and the reader cannot help but wonder if Msimangu with his healing voice can be the one to bridge the rift that divides Africa. Unfortunately, the reader slowly learn that Msimangu is a spiritual man and is more concerned in helping others live a spiritual life then helping them to win their rights. One passage in Cry the Beloved Country reads, “yet he is despised by some, for his golden voice that could raise a nation speaks always thus”. They say he preaches of a world not made by hands, while in the streets about him mean suffer and struggle and die”(Paton 124).
What really touched me about when they went to Sierra Leone was the work of the Rainbow Centre and the Family Services Unit at their local police department. The Rainbow Centre did counseling for rape and domestic violence victims and their families. Amie, who works with the International Rescue Committee, is the founder of the Rainbow Centre. When at the Family Services Unit, one girl (Fulamatu) and her mother was kicked out of the home when the little girl was raped by her uncle. Even though the uncle was not a blood relative, it was still a big deal that she was raped.
Many stereotypes of African culture have emerged due to western literature and media and first hand accounts of explorers. Things Fall Apart offers a view into the truth and reality of African cultures, which are often misconceptualized by these stereotypes. Acebe shows how African society functions well without assistance from foreign travelers. In Things Fall Apart, Achebe counters the imperialist stereotypes of Africa by keeping certain words in the Igbo language, as opposed to translating them into English, to fight back against the spreading western culture and to embrace their own way of life. He also counters the imperialist stereotypes of Africa by using Igbo proverbs to show how their culture values many of the same things that western
It is amazing to see her struggle through the hardest times, living by the hope that one day she will return to Bayo. However she learns that even in Africa, that freedom is hard to come by and that home is wherever the heart is. “Something burst out of me before I could contain it. ‘Where do I come from?’ I asked.
Despite hundreds of years of living together, both Africans and European have maintained their cultural identities. In some cases, the cultures fuse to create a different and richer culture that is regarded as a valuable national or regional resource. In a meeting of cultural misters of ALBA member states that include Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Granada, Nicaragua, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Venezuela, the ministers stressed on the need to promote “respect for cultural diversity within our multiethnic, multicultural and multilingual societies” (Castañeda,
It will take a lot of work to save money for my perfect vacation. However, someday my dreams of sun-kissed beaches and wild festivities will become a reality. I refuse to leave this earth without seeing the wonders of the Bahamas. Until then, I will wait with patience and let my imagination run wild with images of vibrant dances and white sand
Moving is always hard. It is harder if you are moving from your birthplace to a culturally different country after spending most of your teenage years. I moved from Bangladesh to New York about a year and a half ago and let me tell you, it was not easy. I had to leave the place I grew up in, my friends and relatives and start a new life here in America. Probably the only good part was that at least I was with my family throughout this hardship.
Everything happened last summer during vacation. Every year my family plans some wild, adventurous trip, and last year we were going to visit some of the states in the northeastern United States. The trip was going fine until we arrived at the state of New Hampshire. We were going to camp there for a few days, and that was when my parents announced that we were all going to climb Mount Washington. I was not too thrilled by this idea, in fact, I was relatively annoyed.
