Bloom’s Taxonomy helps describe the level of learning that are appropriate for the audience that is being taught. The levels that Bloom names actually build on top of each other, starting with the lowest level of learning and working up to the highest form of learning. There are six levels starting from remembering, then understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating. As a teacher, there may be times to skip remembering, understanding and applying because the students in the classroom already have a high degree of education. It is important to remember that in higher education learning, the three higher taxonomies are of the most importance. The three highest taxonomies are analyzing, evaluating and creating, like previously mentioned. In analyzing, it is important to understand all the information and then break down each component. For example, after playing a soccer game the coaches take several players into the film room and analyze the game. In this time, the coaches are breaking down what the player did. I believe I had the misconception that I needed to jump from applying information to creating evidence. However, in order to create evidence and new thought, I must analyze each resource and evaluate the information that I am looking at. Skipping those two steps creates an impossible attempt to create new thoughts and ideas. For my leadership paper, I will analyze the resources and gather information as much as possible. Since I am a tactical learner I will take notes while I analyze all the sources so that I can be active in learning all the information. Once it is all written, then I will judge the information and compare my thoughts to the thoughts of others. It is important for me to take my time and soak in all the information then create new
