Do you think that students should be allowed to play violent role playing games in school? One may believe that students should be allowed to play violent role playing games in school because it is an organized sport such as having referees and learning to hack devices which would make them seem more smart due to this game. But others may say that students should not be allowed to play violent role playing games in school. They say it could distract the students while in the school building. By using the story “SHOOT-OUT” by Guy Martin where the students are playing role playing games in school, whether it is bad or
Authors often use persuasive techniques such as Ethos, Pathos, and Logos to help support the claim being made. In the articles “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education,” by The National Association for Sport and Physical Education, and “The Weak Shall Inherit the Gym,” by Rick Reilly, both authors focus on using persuasive techniques to make claims about the relevance of dodgeball in physical education. To begin, in the article “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education” the National Association for Sport and Physical Education uses Ethos and Pathos to support their claim on why Dodgeball should be banned from schools. For instance, when trying to explain the purpose of PE, the author states, “NASPE believes that dodgeball is not an
Some colleges were so worried about the danger that they started to ban the sport entirely.
My opinion on dodge ball is they should get rid of it. Dodge ball is an elimination game and most of the people that are eliminated are weak and need more physical activity. So schools need to help and work with games that involve more physical activity and games that do not eliminate kids. Half of the time schools like to have everyone participate in everything and when you're eliminating people they are not participating. Another reason they banned dodge ball is because it's violent and inappropriate.

“Concussions are potentially one of the most serious, yet the most difficult to diagnose injury in sports,” (Hossler A1). MIllions of high schoolers play football each year, yet, at most, 10 people die each year from the sport. Why do kids keep playing it then? Most of them like it because of the physical aspect, being able to hit other people and is also a good way to keep fit. They also get enjoyment out of it because it’s fun.
And it's not appropriate to teach our children that you win by hurting others’’(pg. 2). That is telling us if we don't solve this problem more of the weaker kids are going to have low self- esteem and get hurt from all the ball that they are getting hit with. Also, it’s letting the people know that the most skilled players are going to just pick on them on and off of the dodgeball floor. That’s why we should not allow this game of dodgeball. Others might think that dodgeball should be allowed to be played in their child's physical education at school.
Football is America’s favorite sport. American citizens spend their Sunday nights glued to the television, and Friday nights at the stadium watching athletes tackle, run and catch. Some viewers believe that football is too dangerous and should be eliminated from high school. Football is a dangerous sport; however, it should not be eliminated from high schools, because that tactic would be too severe. There are other ways of decreasing the dangers of football.
To close the article the authors ask the audience if “‘this [is] the type of game that [they] want [their] children to be exposed to?’” The group wraps up the article with this line to leave a lasting impression on the reader. This quote provokes emotions in parents who don’t want their children harmed. In short, the NASPE group uses emotional and ethical persuasive techniques to support their position. Through the use of comedy the author of “The Weak Shall Inherit the Gym,” Rick Reilly, uses pathos and logos to exhibit his position on the topic of dodgeball in physical education classes.
Along with, when schools have sports it gives students an escape from school. Some schools don’t have a have a rule about if the student is eligible to play

Book Banning I think that the root problem with the book banning/burning was the level of maturity in the certain individuals affected. Both of these books were not made for children. I think the people in charge that banned Mr Vonnegurt’s book could have done better with their solution and the people at the Biloxi school came up with an adequate solution to the problem. An example is the book by Kurt Vonnegut, but they were still taught in the classroom.
If contact sports aren’t banned, many children are going to get injured and possibly affect them for life. So ff you have a child that plays contact sports or you are a child that plays contact sports, stop playing now for your own
