Educators are able to promote the diversity of foods by encouraging families to share traditional food recipes and special eating habits or bringing their food to the childcare center in terms of special cultural and religious needs, hence the child care center can plan a menu for the demand of each child’s diet, especially for the child who have special dietary needs. Which according to the Code of Ethic principle: Partnerships with families and communities support shared responsibility for children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Moreover, Children have the right to stay in good quality health care, including clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment so that they will stay healthy. Development is a gradual and continuous process. The development of children is greatly influenced through interactions with the family, friends and culture. It is widely acknowledged now-a-days that the early childhood years are a predominantly receptive phase in the developmental process. During this assignment, I will be explaining two key issues that can affect a child's learning, on a child within the foundation phase. Play is very important for a child's development, as it has a great affect on the child's learning. Our course commentary for this lesson states that parents who are interested in and involved in their children's school tend to have children who are better in school (Barry, 2012). To promote favorable development/behavior and relieve some of the parent's stress, the parents may consider how involved they are in school, and become aware of any issues that take place in school that may be a reason for the child not wanting to share. Having a better understanding on if this behavior is happening at home, or at school as well, may narrow down how often the behavior is occurring, and if there is something at school that is triggering the behavior to carry over into the home.
