Since childhood, I have been certain I want to pursue a career in healthcare, but I was uncertain which one. From the moment I started school, I was infatuated with science. The love I continue to hold for the subject grew as I was exposed to all existing disciplines, especially human anatomy and physiology. My first experience with the class began in eleventh grade. My teacher’s enthusiasm solidified my desire to pursue a healthcare career, but it was still unclear what path I was meant to take.
I received some clarity when we took a class field trip to Logan University. My teacher explained the rules and etiquette of the laboratory. During the lab session, we learned about human dissection, the chiropractic program, and the university. Our …show more content…

I am also interested in pursuing a master’s degree in nutrition to optimize my patients’ well-being. Additionally, I would love to hire a massage therapist in my practice to further serve patients and add to their care. I feel that my versatile skill set will allow me to treat the general population; however, I am particularly interested in treating athletes. As a former athlete and sports fan, I would argue that chiropractic care is essential for athletes because of the stressful physical demands they place on their structures.
