“Client assessment is not just a piece of paper”(M5: Assessment) which essentially means the assessment encompasses many standard and non-standardized tools. “There must be a logical connection between the assessment and programs delivered to clients” (M5: Assessment), entails the tools used are causing a positive effect and meeting client goals. This principle links with principle four, which states, “client placement into programs should be based on assessment results not just opinions”. These are closely related because the TRS should not be choosing interventions just because they prefer it but because they know there is a connection between the intervention and clients goals. Another principle is the tool “should provide baseline information”(M5: Assessment) in which the TRS can make inferences about whether the client is progressing or regressing based on the baseline information gathered.
The patient has a twin brother 15 years and completed the electronic screening by himself. The results were negative for suicide ideation (C-SSRS), positive for mild depression (CAD-MDD, CAT-DI: 55.6), positive mild for anxiety (CAT-ANX: 43.1), positive elevated for mania/hypo mania (CAT-M/HM: 52.4), positive for tobacco and illegal drugs in the past year (NIDA assist). Psychological profiling has been around for many years dating back to about 1960. It was credited to Howard Teten and Patrick Mullany because they made the first behavioral analyses for difficult cases (psychologytoday.com n.d.). It first started with Howard Teten compiling a collection of analysis and comparisons. He would than reviewed a few homicides from several police departments and then tested himself with them and how he would approach the case by setting up an experiment. Therefore, once he received all of the data he would prepare a tentative description of the perpetrator (psychologytoday.com. n.d.).
In the movie Short Term 12, a drama about a foster-care facility for troubled teenagers portrays the emotional journey of the teenagers and the staff running the facility. A troubled teenage girl named Jayden is brought into Short Term 12 because her father is not able to deal with her. Jayden has a past of self-harm and upon arrival is disinterested in befriending the other adolescents as she is not interested in “wasting time on short-term relationships.” Jayden displays symptoms of oppositional defiant disorder as she defies authority figures and throws tantrums. Using the illness prospective, Jayden can be diagnosed as having oppositional defiant disorder as well as depression.
eek 5 The book mentions that the purpose of a biopsychosocial assessment is to help identify supports or interventions an older adult could benefit from and identify those areas which the older person may be at risk (p. 83). After the assessment is completed, then services need to be provided to help support the older person, so they can function as independently as possible. In my time working in the nursing home setting, I have spent a great deal of time completing these assessments and focusing on the areas which a person needs assistance.

There are many facets to a counselor and to counseling, some of which take on personal attributes such as personality, the values and beliefs held by counselors, and what they perceive their role in the counseling profession to be. Other facets involve ethical considerations in therapy, the importance of the profession, the value and process of change, important counseling practices and the value of necessary self-care a counselor ought to engage in. The role of a counselor is to act as a conduit to change and wellbeing in a client.
Self-Evaluation on Counselling Session (One) Session start with a warmth greeting, by asking client ‘How can I address you?”, to be honest I felt nervous at the beginning of the session, too focus or particular on the name of client, client actually felt uncomfortable. I can just follow the flow and address whatever name client point out and start with small talk will be a good idea such as asking about his experience of travelling to the centre for his counselling session. Thereupon, I briefly explained the length of time of the session, confidentiality and the limitation. I believe that I deliver a clear message to the client.

The Math Assessment involved interpersonal skills because in this assessment we had a partner to complete this assessment. We both needed to work on a garden plan which was similar to the garden plan project but involving what we learned over the quarter. The assessment on one person would take too long. Though, if two people worked on it together, the test will be done faster. So, this assessment involved a lot of interpersonal skills.
