David Elderidge should be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of murder. Although the defendant claims that he is not guilty, they are wrong because Mr. Elderidge had the motive to kill Mr. Armes, the spatula that killed Mr. Armes had Mr. Elderidge’s fingerprints on it, and Mr. Elderidge was seen at the crime scene by William Warden shortly before Mr. Armes’s death.
The first reason in the case was that Mr. Eldridge had a motive to kill Mr. Armes. Sandy Smith testified Mr. Eldridge was in desperate need of money because the bank would repossess his home. She stated that Mr. Eldridge had asked Mr. Armes for a raise. Mr. Armes denied his request, explaining how the business wasn’t doing as well as it needed to and there wasn’t enough money to offer anyone a raise. After this, Mr. Eldridge was distraught. If David Eldridge committed this crime, there was evidence that showed how Mr. Armes had denied Mr. Eldridge’s raise and Elderidge was very upset which would give him the motive to murder Mr. Armes

Armes was murdered with a spatula that had David Elderidge’s fingerprints on it. Investigators noted that there was a spatula found next to Mr. Armes's body. It was covered in Mr. Armes’ blood, but was everything else around it. The spatula had the fingerprints of David Elderidge. This evidence explains how Mr. Elderidge is responsible for the death of Mr. Armes because if anyone else were to kill Mr. Armes with the spatula, there would be traces of fingerprints left on the

Dudley’s statements contained inconsistencies. Further, it led to the belief that Dudley was simply trying to exonerate himself as a witness when giving his statement against Moir. In addition to Dudley, another key witness Mr. Gordon’s statements also had inconsistencies. Gordon claimed that he had given a shovel to Moir prior to Acorn’s death. This may lead the jury to believe that Moir’s involvement in Acorn’s murder was planned and deliberate (para. 27).
In 1998, Timothy Lee Hurst was tried for first-degree murder and robbery. It was said that Hurst stabbed and slashed Cynthia Harrison at least sixty times, on top of extremely deep cuts penetrating down to her bones. While the murder was being committed, Hurst robbed the Popeye’s location it was being committed in, which happened to be the location where he worked. Hurst ended up being convicted of first-degree murder, but the case turned into a penalty phase trial to figure out which sentence would best suit Hurst’s crime. After the penalty phase, the jury came back with an eleven to one vote and suggested Hurst be put to a death sentence.
AND THEORY People of the Court, this case is about a man who lets greed get the better of him. The investigation occurred because the Sheriff thought he could protect a friend but just lead to someone dying. PARTIES Ladies and gentlemen, this statement will go over the evidence of how Sheriff Heck Tate let greed influence how he investigated the case with Tom Robinson and Mayella Ewell. While Heck Tate was observing the crime he was not thorough while investigating because Mayella was beaten all over the right side

At the age of 17, Adnan Syed was charged for the murder of Hae Min Lee, but I don’t believe he did it, and I want to tell you why I think it was Jay who committed the murder. In this case there are days worth of reading for evidence. Just in the transcripts, there’s 288 pages, some of it evidence, some of it conversations, and some of it interviews. There are so many people involved that it's very difficult to say for certain that Adnan did it, but it's also very difficult to point out anyone else that could have done it as well.
Dear Jury Members: Mr. Bennett should not be found guilty of murder because there is reasonable doubt. Although the Prosecution claims he is guilty, they are wrong because, Mr. Bennett while checking Mr Adam's pulse touch the spilled coffee, that Mrs. Ried would inherit the house and Mr. Alfoaro has rat poison, and Mr Adams had poor eyesight. First, Mr. Bennett went to go check his pulse to see if he was dead and touched the spilled coffee in the process. Mr. Bennett told the authorities that he touched the puddle of spilled coffee when he knelt by Mr. Adams when he was checking his pulse.
Dear Jury Members:Mr.Bennett should not be found not guilty of murder because reasonable doubt is found. Although the prosecution thinks that Mr.Bennet is guilty for murder, they are wrong because since Mr.Alfario is an exterminator he had access to the poison that killed Mr.Adams, Mrs.Reid thought that when Mr.Adams died that she would inherit all his wealth, and the reason Mr. Bennett had poison on his hands because he had touched the puddle of coffee while checking Mr.Adams pulse on accident. To begin, Mr Bennett is not guilty because Mr Alfario had access to the poison, the same poison that killed Mr.adams. The police found out that Mr.Adams had died from rat poisoning and a coffee cup was found by Mr.Adams’s dead body, the cup contained rat poison.
Adolfo Davis committed murder at 14 years old and was sentenced to a life in prison. The judge argued that Adolfo had known what he was doing during the robbery. He could have called the police and report his situation.

(Guided notes) Ten months after the murder of Andrew and Abby Borden, another axe murder happened in Fall River. The similarities between these two cases are almost startling, the murders happened around the same time of day, no one saw or heard anything, and the wounds were almost identical in placement and number. However, during this murder, Lizzie was in jail so there was no possible way for her to have been the murderer in that case. The fact that two almost identical murderers happened in the same town only months apart couldn’t simply be a

As you are shown in the film, after the identification of Brenton Butler and his so-called testimony to investigators, the police and prosecutors just stopped working on the case. Thus, evidence that would have supported Butler’s innocence and help find the actual killer weren’t discovered until Brenton’s defense attorney, Pat McGuinness did some investigation and research of his own. Thus, flowing from film from the trial to McGuinness’s investigation scenes shows the how he attained the information that he and his partner could present in the courtroom. While the prosecutors only had the one eyewitness, who claimed to have only caught a glimpse of the shooter and gave description that did not even match Butler. The film presents the conclusion that the police did not actually do the work to find the actual killer and if it wasn’t for Pat McGuinness and his partner wanting to find the culprit, it would never actually be solved.
