On Friday night, the annual Ely TIgers vs. DIllard Panthers football game was played. On the last play of the 4th quarter, Donnell Wilson made a touchdown pass that won the game. Although some say that the catch was not that great, I think it was due to the fact that he passed his defensive back, leaped to make the catch,and scored the winning touchdown. Part of what made this a great catch was Donnell leaping into the air to catch it. “Wilson made a leaping catch and landed safely in the end-zone capping an improbable come from behind win for the Tigers.”

They somehow went from a lone, nomadic clan to an allegiance of clans who conquered Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe in a very short amount of time. The Barbarians success was probably a result of their strategy and preparedness in war. First they had a specific chain of command for their army and a strategy for attacking that would make their numbers seem larger and surround their adversaries. Furthermore, they would not allow their adversary to rest while fighting and instead took turns to wear them out.

However, many remain divided over whether or not this scan was constitutional, as there was no warrant at the time of the scan.
It has always been an enigma as to why the various European Empires of England, France and others tried to colonize North America. The distance between North America and Europe was quite vast, and there were abundant resources in South America. In addition, the first attempts by these European Empires to colonize North America ended in failure as the North American winters were too harsh, resulting in many settlers not surviving their first winters there. However, it was very important that these colonial powers did not abandon the idea of colonizing North America.
In times of fear and hysteria in the U.S. it is mass chaos and it only gets worse and worse. During the time of both the witch-hunt eras, whether for communist or actual witches, they prove to have many similarities between them. Both of these times were full of confusion and lying which lead to the temporary downfall of the authority at that time. Joseph McCarthy proved to be a factor in this time and add on to the chaos that was America. Arthur Miller wrote about these times in a book called The Crucible, based on the witch trial era.
Corporate greedy and corrupt politicians were specific problems and injustices that were present in American life during the late 1800s and early 1900s however these were addressed during the progressive era with laws and regulations. Throughout the gilded era corrupt politicians and corporate greedy allowed the upper class and businessmen to take advantage of the working class. This means that a majority of the population were hurt during the gilded age whereas a small percentage benefitted. As seen in document 1, living conditions were crowded, dirty, and unsafe.

English settlers were driven from England due to religious practices and perceived themselves as saving the Indians from the Spanish and their tyrannical ways. For the English, owning land would give men control over their own labor and the right to vote in most colonies, and this land possession would show wealth. This new obtained wealth would not only have demonstrated power, but it could also be used to influence a society a certain way to convince others to follow suit. The English believed that their motives for colonization were pure, and that the growth of empire and freedom would always go together, unlike the Spanish.

Gold is a symbol for wealth, and many explorers soon realized the New World’s potential for wealth.
