Under such conditions, scientists have learned that crops grow much faster as compared to traditional farming techniques. In fact, some estimates predict vertical farms are up to a hundred times more productive than farming on land. Another advantage of this technology is that food can be grown organically because the environment in which the crops are grown is contained.
