In the story of Romeo and Juliet many very unfortunate things happen, but who is to blame for all these things? In the world people are always looking for someone to blame, No one ever wants it to be there fault. In the story of Romeo and Juliet I think that the Friar is to blame. The Friar could have taken control over this once he saw it start to go bad, but he didn't. The Friar easily could have stopped the death of 3 people but instead he tried to help Romeo and Juliet.
Romeo and Juliet a play written by William Shakespeare portrays the tragic love story of two starcrossed lovers. “Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, the two young lovers take their own lives. Although there is plenty at blame to go round, Friar Lawrence is the most responsible for Romeo and Juliet deaths because Friar Lawrence knows about the lotion and potions, he married them and kept it a secret and also his message was not delivered. Though Juliet knew the dangers of taking the potions, she still took it. These potions that Friar Lawrence created could either be used for good or for bad.
In “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck, George made the right decision in shooting Lennie because Lennie did not know his own strength. Another reason is If George did not kill Lennie others would have killed him. However, the other side might argue that Lennie did not mean to kill Curley’s wife, thus he deserves to live. George should have killed Lennie because Lennie did not know his own strength, that is the reason why he killed many things by accident and caused many problems. “Why do you got to get killed?
The person who caused all of the problems in Romeo and Juliet is Friar Lawrence. In the story The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare The Friar makes some pretty pour choices which ultimately led to most of the deaths in the story. The reasons why I think the Friar cause most of this is because one, The guy faked Juliet's death without informing Romeo beforehand he sent it after Juliet had drank the potion and the wedding date changed. Secondly, he married Romeo and Juliet in secrecy, but neither family gave him consent to do so. Also, he trusted somebody with a letter of great importance to deliver to Romeo and if he would have delivered it himself Romeo and Juliet would not have committed suicide.
Romeo’s obsession with love started the chain of events leading to all six deaths. Romeo acts before he thinks, causing the deaths to take place. Some people may argue that it’s not his fault because he can’t help how he feels. This is an invalid argument because, while he may not be able to control how he feels, he is able to control his actions and he chose to do all the things he did. Other people argue that Benvolio is to blame because he instructed Romeo to go to the Capulets’ party, but this argument is weak because Romeo didn’t have to agree to go.
The last reason to blame Friar Lawrence is because he married the two in secrecy. Friar Lawrence made a big mistake that he could have avoided himself, if only he had thought out his plan better. He trusted Juliet with a potion to make her look dead just so she wouldn’t have to marry Paris. Friar Lawrence shows he is irresponsible by saying the quote, “If, rather than to marry Paris,
John Proctor did not sign the testimony because he wanted to protect his name. In my opinion he was excessively prideful and foolish. If it would have been me, I would have signed the testimony so that I could 've lived. He should have admitted that he was consorting with the devil instead of hanging, he would still be able to be with his family if he would have been smarter about his decisions. John Proctor was being selfish as well when he chose to die instead of sign the testimony.
Lord Capulet has many traits, the main thing that you will notice is his drastic mood changes, also he will always stick to his decision that he made. He’s the most to blame for because he was the big problem that causes Juliet’s death and that leads to Romeo’s death. He didn’t treat Juliet like his daughter, instead, he treated her like a trash. He only realized that he loved Juliet after her death and that don’t help or fixed anything realizing stuff after someone was gone. If Lord Capulet wasn’t forced Juliet’s to get married to Paris, then there won’t be any deaths but instead, there will be understanding and loved.
This is why they secretly ask Friar Laurence to marry them in secret. If Friar didn’t marry them it would of not started the chain reactions of events that occur next. The play ends with three tragic deaths; those including being Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence is mostly to blame for the tragic events in Romeo and Juliet, because of he did things in secret, not communicating clearly, and not executing his plans. The first reason why Friar Laurence is to blame is because he married Romeo and Juliet.
“The blame Game” If i would have to pick any character in the book who caused all the problems i would have to say it was Romeo. I’m saying it’s romeo because he kept the marriage between him and juliet a secret, he killed tybalt, and he was very hasty. Friar laurence was responsible for marrying Romeo and Juliet. The nurse and them three was the only one’s that knew about it. If they wouldn’t have never kept the marriage a secret the prince wouldn’t have Romeo banned from the town and Romeo and Juliet could’ve lived happily ever after.
