When the roll is called up yonder is being chanted by thousands of mouths all packed into a stadium like building. Some people raise their hands in the air swaying back and forth. One man in the audience is playing a saxophone and he bumps into several people as he honks out a sweet simple tune. But few people take notice of the saxophonist because they are fixed on the man leading the ceremony. He stands in the middle of the stadium pacing to and fro his head adorned by a red baseball cap with his slogan printed on the middle. Make America Great Again it
The four long year I had a lot of ups and down during this years. There were always amazing teachers. That were very helpful. There was so much to do in the middle school. Couple of my most memorable and amazing time at the middle school are when I made my best friends, made the softball team and want to gateway.
This last summer I had the privilege to reenact an important part of history - the pioneer journey west. Although my trek was somewhat difficult, I had many great experiences. Pulling and pushing a heavily laden pioneer handcart 7 miles a day for 4 days was difficult. But surprisingly, the hardest part of the experience for me was enduring the modern day 12 hour long car ride back. Being cooped up with a bunch of 12 year old boys who incessantly sang along to Taylor Swift was torturous.
This year my family went to Florida. It was our first family trip, and my only trip that I actually got to go on a plane! My grandpa was over at our house and he was giving my mom some flowers to put out on our patio, and I was in my room. When my mom and grandpa started a conversation about Florida.
When I was 10 years old this little movie named Free Willy came out. I fell in love with that movie. I actually cried when Willy jumped over that jetty and freed himself. I wanted Free Willy everything. By this time I haven’t been to Seaworld yet. I begged my mom to take me to Seaworld for my birthday. Seaworld was in San Diego which was two hours away. Anyway, my mom surprised me and took me to Seaworld for my birthday. I was the happiest 10-year-old ever. I was so fucking happy at Seaworld. Everything was just perfect until she took me to see the Shamu show. I’m watching Shamu and I told my mom that Shamu looks like Willy. All my mom had to do was tell me that it wasn’t Willy. That is all she had to do. My mom looked me dead in the eye and
It took about 10 minutes of riding rides when Cameron said the most tariffing thing "let 's go on the Superman!" We went to Mom and Alissa then the Superman! To me the wait felt like 1 hour. Then I saw Cameron and Dad they went way up high and...
My Senior year was supposed to be a a time to remember but it was not. I got into my first accident.
It is now January 3rd, 1931, and I have been unemployed and homeless for over a year now living on the streets of Chicago. About ten years ago, I started working in a factory that created underarm deodorant. Around a year and a half ago, my wage was decreased. Eventually I was fired. The Great Depression is the cause of this terrible event in my life. The United States government has failed us in this great time of need. So many people are unemployed and cannot afford to buy food. I cannot even remember that last time that I had a full meal. Herbert Hoover has destroyed the American economy and the American dream.
The memorable day in my life is when I started Detroit Job Corps. I was nervous and happy at the same time. When I woke up that day my stomach had butterflies in it, and I was sweating like it was summer time. My face felt hot, like I was going to pass out. My mother cooked a huge breakfast for me. There were bacon, sausage, biscuits, pancakes and orange juice. We sat at the kitchen table, she asked me “Destiny is you ready to better your life?” I looked at her, smiled and I said, yes mam. I told her what my goals were for Job Corps, for me personally, and what I wanted to be in life. Time was ticking, she was on the schedule, she asked me to get dressed, put on some pretty clothes and do my hair.
O is for ocean. I went to the ocean twice in my whole life. I went to Florida and Texas. I went to Florida when I was a baby. Then I went to Texas two years ago when I was eleven. My favorite was going to Texas because I don 't really remember Florida because I was a baby.
America is a blessing. Although I knew very little English and I had a difficult time fitting in, I experience many struggles because I knew that Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. I was not someone who could learn something easily but my determination and hard work to make a better future for myself kept me going. My father was really sick, for his better health, we first moved here and the time I spent taking caring of him. Ever since I realized that I could help people and enjoy it immensely. I decided that I wanted to become a doctor. I started volunteering at a local Hospital in emergency room. This helps me more by realizing how I wanted to save lives is what I do with rest of my life.
Kindergarten through third grade I attended Rozelle Elementary school. The school had two different buildings, it was the kindergarten through second grade and then the third through sixth grade. I couldn 't This was my favorite school, I loved going here and the people here. My first day I probably cried, I really don 't remember. Learning how to read and write was easy because my mom had already gone over a lot of basic things with me over the summer. I loved being young, making friends was easy. Kindergarten is also where I met Eric. I had two teachers in my class I don 't remember their names. I often was at my grandmother 's house she lived on the street called Rozelle and my mom stayed on Thornhill Dr. There was a park right across the street from my house and a pool.
One of the best days of my life was when we went deer hunting in South Dakota with my dad, brother, uncle and two cousins, but before I tell you about my trip let me tell you how it started. We left early in the morning to head to South Dakota where my cousin Jacob, who had just got a job as Game warden in Custer State Park, was taking us deer hunting. We got as far as Fargo, North Dakota when my cousin Keith asked my dad where our license were. Then to our surprise we forgot them back at home. We were lucky enough to have my two aunts and mom bring us the license because they were going to Fargo that day anyways for a girls shopping day. They just had to leave a little earlier. So we just waited in a parking lot until they
An experience that was meaningful to me was the time that my entire family and I went to Disney from July 1st,2010 to July 14th,2010 it was such a great experience. Jumping with excitement the first time that I found out (Participle). It was going to be my first big trip with my mom’s boyfriend who is now my dad. This was a trip that was holding such a big surprise at the end of it.
It all started on a summer day, I went to nags head beach with my family. We got a big beach house with my whole family and a few friends. This was about 4 years but it feels like it was just the other day. We went at the very end of the summer. It was still nice and warm outside.
